So there’s no way this plate bumper is going to line up right?

You cut the ear off so its flush then it'll bolt up.

Thank you, I wondered if that was the answer. I got a little confused because the website says I don’t need to modify my truck for this bumper to fit. I guess some slight modification is required

Confirmed that I am indeed dumb and cutting off the ear was the way to go. Good excuse to buy a new red brand angle grinder.

I may do a write up on my particular bumper, there were no instructions and for somebody who hasn’t done this before it wasn’t super intuitive.

Nice bumpers though, I am excited to get them painted.

4xI plate for '00-'04 Tacoma. The rear bumper was easy enough but the front was confusing without instructions for a number of reasons. Nothing a person couldn't figure out by staring at it for awhile.

10/10 for build quality, I'm not going to criticize the lack of instructions too hard because I'm a noob

Not gona lie, comparing that bracket to stock is just a tad concerning since that’s the only spot where the bumper mounts. Figured they could make it a tad more beefy.

There’s also frame gussets that bolt up to to where the recovery hooks go. I didn’t take photos of these because they didn’t give me any problems.

The bumper and gussets bolt together to the frame using the hole in the front of frame (my second photo). I can take a photo later if you’re interested. Overall there are 10 mounting points to frame between gussets/bumper.

4xi use the factory 10 point mounting IIRC (5 per frame side - 2 @ front body mount, 2 under the front frame end, and 1 at the center of front frame end)
