Don't worry about the P3 controller - uhaul trailers have no use for brake controllers.

My main worry is that you're going to be sitting squarely on the bump stops with that kind of load. If it's BC to Alberta, there's quite the hill between those two territories. A hill in the middle of winter, with quite the grade on it. I know it's a pickle. But this is not the drive to be testing limits.

It's there any storage unit that can do a one month short-term? If you can't afford the box truck, make two trips.

Good hell, it's a dual axle?! You're over payload, guaranteed. Being that nose high your at risk of losing control in any kind of less than perfect traction scenario. Please make two trips.

If you're really insisting on going, go at half speed over the mountain. Make the 18 wheelers pass you. Go even slower on the down slope. Hopefully you don't run into a manned check station anywhere, because they'll likely pull you.

2000 clicks? Split it into three days minimum. Don't be out after dark.

Truck is way too light on the steering axle, you're going to have almost no control on the ice. Look at the picture and notice how your front tire has almost zero bulge to it, which doesn't look too different if it were dangling in the air. And any pothole will be wreaking hell on your rear axle.

    Best of luck.

    OK. Again.

    Sticker.

The weight of it on the scale doesn't mean anything without the contact of the trucks limits.

Front tires are barely making contact with ground.

You can see, including passengers my truck only has 900 lbs. of payload.

    I can do the math.

Curb weight for a 4x4 DCLB is 4550lbs, 2064 kilo.

His sticker says 2545 kg GVWR.

That makes payload 481 kilo, 1080 pound.

I'm guessing the scale measurement of 2100 was an empty read, there's no way the payload is 36 kilo or 80 pounds.

Sounds like a troll post, but I’ll bite. You’re pulling some legs here, right? If you have 1k lbs loaded into any Tacoma box there is very little room for whatever your door sticker says between that payload and the max you’re allowed. Maybe your particular payload is only 950? Check the door sticker. You ain’t towing anything (safely and legally) with that setup. But hey, if you want justify overloading, have at it. Just let me know when you’ll be on the road. :)
