I would say yes. They're committed at this point.

ETA: this year, likely the first half

The '24 rollout delay isn't due to the hybrid motor/battery which is the same as the Tundra. Toyota wants some space between the rollout of the different grades to keep media buzz going longer.

I think he means because of the delays with the non hybrid they might not be spring anymore

Something pretty serious and legitimate would have to happen for YotaCorp to come out and say "Yea so uh, we lied, no MAX models in '24 after all".

I have a 6x10 aluminum enclosed trailer that I mostly use to haul our e-bikes and minibikes in. It's in this pic.

Just don't want to have to borrow the wife's car when I want to use the trailer.

My wife just handed in her Cayenne lease today, we have a spot for the new GX B/Rover-lander when it comes out.

I'm about to join the resistance and dealer bullsh*t. So the dealer with the underground I found sent me the spec sheet at MSRP with about $2k in port add ons I dont care for. Anyways let them run numbers, offered me $32k on my trade, which I said was insulting and where did they get that number from, showed them my much higher trade offers literally from days ago only to then be told well we usually charge ADM too. I was like hold up you are telling me you want me to take it on my trade and pay you over sticker while you get over invoice and dealer hold up on a mass produced vehicle, you have to be f**king kidding me right? WTF is wrong with Toyota dealers, the pandemic has them living in some dystopia. I'm this close to switching brands as they dont make that much better of a product and want the moon and the sun for it it seems. Rant over.

Whats the specs on your tacoma? Did you run it through carmax/vroom/carvana and see what they would give you?

Ever think of using a broker? Let them mess with the nonsense.

Was looking the Fords. Prices are coming down, imagine even more so through-out the year. Believe trade-in values will drop as well, so don’t be alarmed if they lowball you. The house always wins.

I did. I was trying to save on tax credit with trade. Just insulting to say the least.

I love that dealers pull this shit. Big ad about a specific truck that isn’t even in their inventory search. The only lariat in their search doesn’t have that discount.

They’re all god damned crooks

Trade in values are dropping weekly if not bi weekly on most vehicles. These used Tacomas that used to be gold to a dealer, they are now gonna tell you they have too many of them and act like they are doing you a favor trading with you.

It is even worse when there is a drastic year model/generation change like there is right now with the Tacoma. They are nervous about what the new gen will do to resale, its always a toss up for them. If its a smashing success, 3rd gen values drop, if it is not so smashing, values hold steady or rise, like you see with the 2nd gen Tundra. (also like you saw and continue to see with 2nd Gen Tacoma). But in the short term I would expect a drop in value.

This. If you are trading, waiting for lower new prices (no ADM / under MSRP) is negated by lower trade in price. You'll be out of pocket about the same if you wait. Maybe more, your trade is getting older and more miles too. If there is no trade, then yeah, wait if you can. Prices paid are coming down on commodity trucks already.

This ^. My original dealer had a similar allocation as my original but without the sway bar disconnect. He offered it to me at MSRP and holding true to my original agreed upon trade in offer ($38k). I took it. Has a 2/2 build date. I've noticed trade in offers are getting lower and lower, so this deal actually isnt bad at all.

Yep, and the trade will only get worse as the new trucks begin to stack up on the lots. Until/Unless there is a shift in the market perception/value of the 3rd gen. I'm not sure we are going to see the 3rd Gen holds its value like the 2nd has, but only time will tell.

Same, it really just depends on if these trucks follow the Tundra in issues. I'm betting on my 3rd gen only losing value. So im gonna jump, cause at that deal the tax savings and higher trade offer is no different than a lower trade offer and discount off MSRP.

Now the one thing that could happen with the 3rd gen values in the near/and later future is that the value holds tight/slows dropping for the simple fact that the new Gen prices seem to be a lot higher. Whether it makes sense or not, the 34K used 3rd gen (that should probably be 30) holds tight longer because it still is a better deal than a 50K plus newer generation. In effect the higher prices hold up the resale drop for the 3rd gen over time.
