What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Did a free mod. All it costed was some patience. With the help of a heat gun and floss, I debadged the tailgate and removed the bronze TSS vinyls.




I much prefer the cleaner look. The bronze stickers were cool, but did not want to be stuck with a bronze theme with this build.

About 2 weeks ago I installed mud flaps, TACOMA letters on tailgate and plasti dipped all chrome badges, fender flares, hood scoop and chin.
Oh! I also swapped to Pro grill with sensor and oem front camera.

 

Looking good! It will look even better without the chin strap. I think it’s only like 10 bolts.

Removed my Bulletpoint Mount and installed the DMM. After drilling all the holes for the mount, it looked like swiss cheese combined with the holes from the Bulletpoint. Pretty easy install and I like the stealth look much better. They forgot to send me one ball mount for my radio (which Taco Garage responded to quickly on a weekend) but I am happy I made the switch! So much cleaner. I opted to just reuse the Bulletpoint phone holders I just had to purchase new clamps on the one end so they would fit.

 

Recent updates to the SSO thread have some people receiving bumpers now but I would just stay away from them until they get it all sorted. I have the front hybrid bumper and I love it and get compliments on it all the time. But I've been telling people to wait or just get one from elsewhere.

 

Removed the predator steps as well. They are for sale since they are still basically new.

Installed a Anderson Spacer and URD Y-pipe. The truck now actually uses 6th gear again on the HWY after bigger tires...

 

This is probably my favorite mod besides my camper shell.

 

Mounted and half way wired the ditch lights up. But I couldn’t figure out if I need a relay or not with this switch. The ss2s look good I wish I had some extras in ambers. Does anyone have a link to the fuse or aux under hood setups. I don’t want to use an auxbeam on this truck I don’t think.

 

Cured over night sanded it down with 600 grit sand paper then top coated with Seymour MRO Flat Black high solid

 

Just ordered some BFG KO2s from Costco.

 

Beautiful pictures. Makes me cold just looking at them.

 

Added a tailgate pull strap. I used an old roller bag handle. Now I don’t have to push the filthy winter crud covered (sand paper like) tailgate when closing.

 

I wish I would have known about this adapter before I installed my dash cam. Way easier than running the super long usb cord to power. Oh well

 

Yeah, it was like a 5 minute install. Took longer to get the micro SD card out of the theft-proof package.
