Her dad said we could stay here and he’d pay for it OR he would give us money and we could go wherever and get married by ourselves. She kept mentioning Las Vegas or other big cities, I said too much concrete and I jokingly said Hawaii. A 10 hour flight later I found myself in Maui!

Any of you all have any tips, tricks, or suggestions to remove hot glue from a fleece beanie? She used it to make a Halloween costume and I’m trying to get this mess off of it. If I can’t remove it, I may laser some leather patches and put them on over the spots.

This might be about our last trip to Hawaii. The conference keeps increasing their prices and the places it's held are in the nice parts of the islands (read: expensive) but the amount she gets from her work hasn't gone up so more is out of pocket. We had a good run, though. :)

At my old job we used an industrial hot melt spray system for building boxes, I swear you could have used the glue on the space shuttle. I never found anything that would break it down.

The systems were similar to this:

    Door-Panel-assembly_300.jpg

The glue (pellets when cold) goes in the tank -- unfortunately the worker fills it...
...or overfills it causing a tidal wave of hot glue to go all over the machine.

And then there are all the other things they may put in there - razor blades, utility knives, putty knives, staples, bits of wood, cardboard, box labels, plastic film, the pop top from soda cans, I could go on... :annoyed:

Hot melt systems are a pain to work on because you have to take them apart hot, when cold they are glued together.

A high of 15 degrees today, going back down now. :(

I walked out to the mailbox and saw geese flying south, I went no further than the mailbox. ;)

Haven't even gotten mail yet. Been out twice and saw a high of 17, going to go out once more before dark and run the dog after she eats. Then it's dinner time for us.

I’ve helped disassemble extruders at work, they have to be hot to disassemble then they get get cleaned in a hot oil bath in the shop, glad I was not responsible for them!

Mine popped a few years ago. Had the guy replace all three while he was there.
