    Hey Guys,
I have 2019 Taco SR5, recently I bought Alpharex Luxx Series headlights.
I love the way they look, but I'm getting confused with settings of those lights like switching from white to Amber plus couple others having them working properly on different settings etc.
Is there anyone here who has the same truck and was able to figure out exactly how they work?

    Thanks

    A few.
I have a set of those on my Trd Offroad. Maybe something was changed since mine are over a year old but Im not aware of any settings. Mine has white drls. There isnt a way of changing them to amber
They have the install instructions on there websjte.

I believe on TRDs it might work a bit different. In my case if I go to car settings - customization - light settings and turn off DRL option, DRLs on headlights are white. If I turn the DRL option to ON, the DRLs on the headlights are amber. But they turn amber after I switch from Park to Drive.

It's because you drive an sr5. My morimotos work in a similar way with my 2021 sr5

Your turn signal line is tied into your drl signal, wired together. So the drl on your sr5 functions differently than a TRD model with native drls.

Here's a video of how my morimotos work on my sr5

Hello, I just received these headlights for my SR5 model. Was there any update on if that is the actual case between the SR5 and TRD models? I've searched the interwebs and can't find any definite answer. I love the amber drl but would like and option to go back to white, thanks.

I have an sr5 and morimoto xb v2s with white drls, and i do use the fuse tap. However to my surprise, when I installed them, my drls were amber when switch/stalk was set to "DRL" and "Auto". But when my stalk was all the way switched off or if my lowbeams were on, my drl was white. After some research, I realized you can go into your head unit and turn the DRL signal off and those DRLS go back to normal, meaning no more amber.

The reasoning for this is because SR5's stock headlights have that amber drl bulb that also acts as your blinker. Drl and then signal are on the same wire/line. TRD models with stock halogen headlights have that little LED L shape light for their DRL. It's isn't wired like the SR5's so they do function a bit differently and actually require additional wiring harness provided by Morimoto.

I like the amber during the day and white when my headlights are on personally, so I left it as is.

Oh I see, yeah I noticed if I use auto or on they are amber and when all the way off they are white. I am okay with that.
