ask yourself, when you have just two headlights
and a Civic has two headlights
what makes it appear to be a truck to a random driver barely looking, let alone in lower visibility

make sure to put that on the drivers license test

while you’re at it, uncheck the lights box on your insurance to raise your rates

Take a pic of how you wired it. I’m sure it will be easier to help you if we see how it’s wired.

braking distance on a new raptor is significantly shorter than a new Tacoma. That has tiny brakes and thin tires.

    a raptor is ~5700lbs.
Folks with built rigs report being around 6000lb or more.

steel bumpers don’t have crumple zone.

and while that's the intent of DRL's, there's NHTSA's studies later on indicated that there was no measurable difference in accident avoidance while utilizing them.

studies of me driving looking through the windshield has measured less occurrence of folks yeeting in front of the truck and it being more visible.

again if you don’t want them don’t put them.

studies indicate stock cars get hit once a year. Big fan of avoiding that.

are we talking DRL's or raptor lights here?

i never stated my opinion. only the factual studies of DRL accident avoidance indicating that they don't provide any statistical difference.

here's the study for your own eyes, summary of findings on page 3
    https://crashstats.nhtsa.dot.gov/Api/Public/ViewPublication/811029

personally, i am a firm believer in SLL, or Sign of Life Lighting on vehicles to indicate whenever the vehicle is on and ready to be operated, no different than any piece of large equipment in factories generally have light stacks indicating operational readiness.

that said, i don't believe that 'rapture' lights are anything more than an aesthetic alteration, as they lack both the directionality, pattern, and output that factory-supplied marker lamp or headlamp usage as SLL indicators can provide. triple center lights are specifically there to comply with DOT width requirements on over-width vehicles, and implying that one's vehicle is wider than it is, is false advertising, but can also carry legal ramifications should authorities start looking for reasons for issuing a ticket.

my truck did not come with DRL's, nor do I like them. The truck does what I tell it to do.
If I turn the lights on, they're on.
    If they're off, they're off.
My raptor lights are wired into that.

I have them. There's more lights now. They're more visible than the headlight corner markers. Especially with a bumper.
The truck has factory supplier marker lamps and raptor lights. They've got a pretty wide range of direction being a rounded lens that protrudes and LED.

You can tell what width the truck is by looking at the headlights next to the raptor lights.

If a person sees two headlights, they probably go "could be a sedan, lemme yeet in front of it real quick"
if they see raptor lights, it tells them "that is a big heavy rig, let's not"
which is generally what raptor lights are on, until that is folks started putting them on RAV4's and Subarus. Which, still makes them more visible.

I can see my Raptor Lights when I park my truck--I know what they look like to oncoming traffic.

OP, all I did was add a fuse for Raptor Lights to come on when headlights are turned on.

Simply your use of "yeet" tells me all I need to know. Maybe it's your driving that's causing you to be constantly cut off?

you should get a couple of these

apparently it goes against some pretty hardcore religions to offend or otherwise impact a vehicle with a posted baby warning. i can't explain it though.

I'm not constantly cut off. Less so with raptor lights. Like I said. The point of them.
It's the US and CA. There is gonna be shitty drivers no matter how you drive.
The truck does not speed. It’s not Ferrari V12 swapped or capable of it.

    picture this
    45mph zone

hyundai up ahead decides, no signal, crank the wheel left as hard as they can at 10mph going sideways accross multiple lanes from all the way on the right, to all the way on the left
causing a crash, unsafe, and illegal
they changed their mind on where they wanna go and decided to not take the 2 minutes to drive ahead to the next light and turn around.
Yeet is very possibly the word that Hyundai driver yelled out as they began cranking the wheel.

Yeet (not a word I came up with) is probably the best one to describe that
the more visible you are as clearly a truck, the less that happens
you can call it whatever you want. I wouldn't know the term as it's not something I do.

    it can still happen
but imagine this. A person's looking to do that. Maybe they see a semi truck behind them. All of a sudden, they might find themselves a bit more hesitant to do so, than in front of say, another Hyundai
whether they were doing it as an insurance scam or not,
they might realize if they do that in front of a semi, they won't even be there to do a scam anymore.

If you put them, you'll notice a difference.
If you don't want to, that's fine.

    No, I have armor
the armor says "if you hit me, I will be fine but not you"

I say take advice from this guy.

stock ride height, red paint, small tires, red mudflaps, carbon muffler tip, automatic longbed, step bars, air dam

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
If you are traveling at the speed of light, and you turn your lights on. Are they now effectively moving at 2x the speed of light?

    Lol
