Hey I’m new here and would like to ask if anyone has purchased any speaker enclosures from Mr Marv lately? Reason I ask I’m fixing to purchase one from his IG account and just want to confirm I’m not being scammed. I’m asking here because this is where I’d heard about him at. Yeah that’s it! I’ve just not seen anyone that’s used him in a while and he hasn’t made a post on there since 2021. I was just trying to see if anyone has used him lately. There’s all kind of people hacking others accounts and that would be a hackers dream..

Mr. Marv is still supporting our custom enclosure needs. I got a set from him in December. He has own ways of doing things old school OTP. Top quality craftsmanship. Top shelf dude.

 

I’ve purchased one and now waiting. I just hadn’t seen any feed back in a while and was trying to make sure I wasn’t getting ripped off.

 

How long have you been waiting? With custom made to order, it'll take some time. When I purchased from him prior, it took 2-3 months. Last time I spoke with him, he was a 1 man band but his quality is top notch.

I'm planning to reach out to him this summer for a an upgrade from the single 10tw3 to something a little more substantial.

 

You'll know it once you do talk to him. He's very knowledgeable, and he will speak at length!

 

I’ve not been waiting long at all. I was just trying to do my research before I sent the money. I’ve placed payment and now waiting for him to build it. I’ll keep everyone posted. I’m sure he’s on the up and up. I was really just afraid someone could have cloned his account or hacked it and hadn’t seen anyone input in a while from anyone that’s ordered from him. I’ll update this post as we proceed in my order. Thanks everyone for your input..

 

For what it's worth... if it's the real Mr Marv, I've met him in person a while back to pick up a sub box. He was a cabinetmaker/carpenter so his workmanship with subwoofer boxes is top notch.

 

Considering a TT box, but maybe interested in a mr marv box instead. Anyone know if his box prices is comparable to the TT one?

 

TT boxes appear to made from MDF. Mr. Marvs boxes are Baltic Birch which is both lighter and more water resistant. And a hell of a lot prettier, if that matters to you. The downside is MM boxes are spendier. But they are worth it in my view.

 

tt is going to be fractions of cost. not even factoring in his labor or extra materials, only the wood he uses will cost more than the tt box.

but it's comparing the price of a mcdonalds burger to a top-of-the line sirloin cut. if you just want something to stay alive, the tt/mcdonalds burger fits the bill. if you want to enjoy being alive, then there's the marv box.

 

I’ve not received my box yet, but I’ll say this he goes above and beyond! Great guy! From the boxes I’ve seen he’s a true artist! Also his boxes are custom made for the listener and subwoofer! I can’t wait to get mine! When I do I’ll share about it here..
