What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Thanks man! I’m happy with the quality of the bumper and how it turned out! I appreciate it! I’m fortunate to have access to all the equipment I get to use at work.. makes it much easier to get it done right.. not talking about the metal chair lol

 

Finally got around to mounting the light bar on the roof rack. Only bled once so I'd say it was a simple install. Need to aim it but so far so good.

Today I installed rear seat jackers and front multi mount bracket on both driver and passenger seats (sorry didnt take pics yet but i will). Still waiting on the front seat jackers to be delivered but I will share when they get here and installed of course. In other news my uptop overland dual function rack lights came in. Haven't installed them as I'm debating if I want to wire the amber portion to my blinkers (which I think would be pretty cool and add alot of visibility for others when I'm turning) or just another switch and be able to choose white or amber whenever. After they are installed I will have 4 lights on the roof rack (moving the white baja designs that are on the rack to the bed rack middle racks) and 8 lights on the bed rack so probably visible from space. Needed them mostly because I'm scared of the dark . Here is a quick preview of the lights.

I'm letting mine just be to let summer heat dissipate. I see the newer Dongar Adapters are separate now whereas the older ones were heat shrinked together.

 

The thing about using relays...

Their purpose is to allow heavy gauge wire be run from the power source (battery) to the appliance (lights in this case), but then allow small gauge wire be run up through the firewall to the switch.
They are simple insurance about having enough wire size to handle the amperage draw of some appliances without having that same heavy wire running through the bundles/harnesses into the cab.
If you have the room under your hood; and use a good water/weather proof relay & fuse box; go the relay route.
Overkill if not needed, critical when they are needed, and peace of mind when not sure.

want to add (4) raptor lights, a tool box, some off road tires....
& maybeee a hood scoop from mr. hood scoop & maybee a bulken brand rear bumper

 

What does that add-on bumper bolt onto?

My dude Hugo, he adds some custom built iron angles and welds them to the truck and them mounts the bumper and welds again i believe.. his instagram is "fabricaciones_elizondo956" hes based out of Alamo, Tx. Ill take some pictures and send them to ya soon.

I have 12K on mine and I am happy with them. I'm in Mass too and they have done well in the snow, rain and limited off road on the beach. Where on the Pike were you, I'm up and down the Pike most days.

 

What I ended up doing was running the usb power cord under the headliner and trim to one of the ports in the console. Either way works tho
