I am gonna need new tires for my truck and decided that I may wanna get both tires and wheels. I like the look of 16 or 17 inch rims with a nice tire, but dont wanna install a lift kit or do any major cutting. need suggestions for a wheel and tire combo that would go good with the truck. thx

I upsized from 265/70/16 to 265/75/16 Duratracs, before my lift. No rubbing, but they looked stuffed in there.

I now own 17" "Repika" TRD rims, and love them.

I'm quite happy with combo of Toyota OEM steel wheel 42601-AD030 like they sell for the spare, Falken Rubitrek A/T LT235/85R16
    Size: LT235/85R-16
Part#: 28070986 and MCGARD 64002 Cone Seat Style Lug Nuts (M12 x 1.5 Thread Size),
Huf North America 315/433MHz Univ Snsr part No. UVS705.

So far seem good in snow, including deep not shoveled unpaved driveway, and actually prefer on road too.

One is pictured in my profile pic. I might take a full truck pic later to post.

    here- [IMG]

Debated the whole LT vs P metric thing and the size options. Got as a more versatile winter set, but like enough that I am kinda thinking of selling 17" oems and using year round. Using the pressure recommendation from as no time or dry pavement to do a chalk test.

I found the lug nuts recommended here on a Tacoma world post. You can't use the wrong type of lugnut that doesn't match you wheel type, long term if you want it to be safe.

Also, no issues with rubbing, still have OEM mud flaps installed like they came from the dealer. No spacers, specs say wheels have same offset as original stock wheels.

2023 sport, all stock except this wheel setup, head unit, speakers, hood, shifter knob, and minor interior accessories.

2.5” OME lift, Koenig Six Shooter wheels, 275/70r17 Nokian Outpost AT, CMC, Nitro 4.88s, Greenlane aluminum sliders, CBI aluminum skid, Greenlane aluminum front bumper, Out Gear Solutions HC rear bumper, Baja SAE fogs
255/75r17, look at SCS and Koenig for wheels.

0 offset wheel with a 265/70r17 was the sweet spot for me on stock suspension. I did swap to a more low pro mud flap don't know if it will clear factory flaps

    you have wheels

changing wheels would be if you have big tires airing down off road
    such as Method Bead Grip

if you're doing 17" and not airing down, you can look at what's lightest.

Best rule of thumb is don't go further than a 0 and you'll having 0 to minimal rubbing on the mud flap. I posted my old set up earlier in here. I swapped to rok blokz mud flap at the sane time to help keep rocks off the paint with the wider offset and add a smidge more clearence
