Yeah, there was some really good discussion going on in there. I shifted into reading and listening mode instead of posting because I wanted to hear what everyone had to say. And I'm glad I did because there were some really good posts.

I suppose in some perceptions of reality they do. It's certainly easier to blame the boogey man than to employ critical thought.

I was thinking Pro, but now I'm thinking either an optioned-up OR or TH minus the Aussie shit above the box.

I don't want those seats taking up additional precious little leg room.

I just wonder how TH rides on-road compared to Pro.

Lol! No it doesn’t! But I keep on trying… :p

Need to convert the LC to diesel, run biodiesel and stick it to The Man!

    https://www.backwoodshome.com/make-your-own-biodiesel-for-80¢-per-gallon/

There was a time I was going swap in a VW TDI into my ‘92 Pickup, and make my own biodiesel, but that time has passed. Buddy of mine used to do it, it isn’t very hard at all. Environmental-wise makes more sense than EVs, don’t have to reinvent the wheel either, can use old tech. My mom was a bit of a hippy, was very into the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle thing. WVO while not perfect, makes a lot of sense to me at least. Probably can’t keep up with demand if everyone was doing it though. The fringes would probably be fine.

Dream rig right here. Fuel tanks hold 65 gallons, it gets 20-25 mpg depending. That type of range makes me all tingly.

Tanks size mentioned around the minute 12:50 mark.

It was me, I talk too much…and I know I do. Drive even myself nuts. Lol!

I dunno, would buy a Rivian and smoke both your asses. :D

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acSdPy38XKU

Which one has greater payload? Would assume the one with the greater one would ride rougher. Guess the TH, since the Pro is more of a desert runner. Or could do a lower trim and set up the suspension however you want it. Loads more options out there than the factory stuff. Suspension install is super easier, be even easier now with the rear coils.

If you were going to go full long travel upgrade is the new rear coils the better option? And if so how much of a pita would it be to convert a SR? Between the seats, the cost, the moonroof (which i hate) and I'm not sure on the terra color. I'm thinking a build up sr5 or sr may be the way to go.

Since the SR has leafs, would have to cut off the spring brackets, weld on new ones for the trac bars, coil buckets, etc. Be easier to start with the SR5. SR5 is only a few grand more, so it would save you a lot of work/time/parts just buying that trim.

Or if you don’t mind leaf’s. Could always have a fab shop like Giant Motorsports build you a leaf spring kit, SR already has spring under, so part of the work is already done. Still would have to move the spring perches though I would assume, need to crawl under there and take some measurements.

Total Chaos already has kit for the Tundra fairly certain the Tacoma is on the way. Depends how picky you are about suspension and how you want it tuned. Factory is usually good enough for most street queens. I used to be really into the desert Prerunner stuff, but it kinda ruins the truck as a daily. Why I am perfectly content with the stock SR just for running my ass around town. For daily street use, it is actually plusher than my mildly built out 1st Gen. Started to go wild with it, but toned it back down for daily duties, built for hauling heavy so it rides like a brick when unloaded. Any running around much rather take my 3rd Gen.

If you really want plush, just cut off all the stock suspension and doing long travel link. Torch off the from A-Arms and Ford TTB it. All about how much performance you want vs. how much you want to spend. Sky is the limit. Think at that point might as well build a ground up race truck. You can read most long travel threads on here, most guys start mild then keep on upgrading. Would have saved a lot of headache just going full bore right from the get go.

Maybe the engineers can give you more mpg's, hp and torque at the expense of increased rate of entropy. Knowing people would bitch about the shorter life span they decided against it.

Pretty sure we’re already getting the shorter lifespan with the turbo engine. Just missing the better mpgs.
