Entry: man made pond mostly frozen.

 

This was really just to zoom in and check bullet seating depth, but I really liked how everything looked. The metallic cartridge is one of the most influential man-made pieces of technology ever created & the .45 LC ranks right up there in importance.

Grew up in Eureka California. We had a pulp mill with chimneys like that. Just looking at your photo brings back the memory of how wretched the smell was that wafted over our small community.

 

Lewiston Idaho is same...

 

Dryden, Ontario, too. I didn't notice a smell when we got into town but heading out to leave in the morning it was quite potent!

 

That is a coal fired steam station, they mix ammonia with it to make it white. Supposedly converting it to natural gas after buying the local natural gas company several years ago. I’ve never smelled this one.

 

Depending on the ratio of ammonia I’m not sure if I’d want to…

 

Minnesota, Western NC, North Central Pa. I'm used to pulp plants. Dryden?! That is the last stop to the cabin where there is an actual town to get groceries. Then head North up Red Lake road. About as far North as you can go without a float plane. Those Aspen cuts for pulp provide great habitat in 10-12 years for grouse. Well moose and other wildlife as well but hit them to grouse hunt.

If all goes well this week surgery will happen and wanted a final picture of the "old" look. Not much of a real serious entry, although I did have to wait all week until this morning for sunlight to be pumped in LOL. Just used my cell phone instead of the camera, and no Lightroom or correction. I'm overstating the obvious with that statement.

A sawzall will remove the double chin after the air dam is removed for a better approach angle. AC condenser skid for protection where the air dam was. Nose job- grille will be replaced with a Blackline edition full spindle grille in solid black. Eye job- new rectangular headlights will replace the old retro style round lights.
