My C4 bumper definitely helped, but the frame still got tweaked unfortunately.

Since the other car caught the wheel, the LCA tore a hole in the frame from the force :(

ICBC wants to fix it. Figures he can get it done for $7k. But we’ll see.
I was ok. Rattled my head a bit. But it was better than hitting the homeless man that stepped out onto the highway… I guess.

That's the thing with the metal bumpers, I've seen them make the frame more likely to tweak depending on the angle/speed/etc

if I drive into a wall at 70, the truck is done. Regardless of what bumper it has.

Pretty sure the frame got effed from the wheel/suspension point of impact in that. At least that's what my sleepy brain thought from the pics he posted. @Squatting Pigeon correct me if I'm wrong, please.

Yep, the car that I hit grabbed the front wheel, and the LCA tore a hole in the frame. Not sure if that’s what twisted the frame too, but very well could be.
My steel bumper came off and a stock one went right on with no issues, so the frame up front was still square

Don’t forget about rear bumpers, too.

Hard to see from that angle, but the plastic clips for his grille and headlights are toast.
