What's the craziest/most interesting/unique item you've ever hauled or towed with your Taco?

My dental hygienist and her husband are renovating their kitchen; I mentioned during a recent appointment that I scrap stuff on the side, so she gave me the old (not so old, but malfunctioning) microwave.I obtained the refrigerator and the washing machine from my girlfriend's neighbors, and the ceiling fan is left over from when I helped clear out that townhouse last November...

 

2001 Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator, still in operational condition with possible exception of the water dispenser and ice maker...

 

Seeing if my girlfriend's landlady wants it before send it to appliance heaven...

 

I towed a 4runner with my 4runner.

 

There was this one time I used my taco to haul a television home. I didn't know it had to be strapped in as shown until I picked it up. BestBuy said hauling it flat was a no-no.

 

Landlady wants it to replace a barely functioning fridge in the garage, and is presently cleaning it...

 

And I will be sending the fridge that the 2001 Whirlpool is replacing to appliance heaven later this week!

 

I learned that when I showed up to move one for the first time. Fortunately I had my wife's Rav4 so I just folded the seat down

 

I just scored this 24-inch gas range that I will be sending to appliance heaven...

 

I helped @Stitchgirl90's landlady swap out the refrigerators, and loaded the 2005 Whirlpool into my truck today. The landlady is trying to clear out the garage and also gave me two water softener tanks to scrap...

 

As soon as I cut the compressor out of the '05 Whirlpool, I discovered why the contents of the freezer had been thawing out. There was almost no refrigerant in the damn thing! My theory is that the lack of refrigerant in the system was masked by the fact that the fridge was in an unheated garage and we all know how cold it's been!

 

I got $38 for the refrigerator carcass and the water softener tanks, plus $8 for the fridge compressor and the battery from my friend's Chevy Trax! Best payout I've gotten on a load that didn't have aluminum, brass, or copper!

 

I got this nonfunctional KitchenAid dishwasher for free on Facebook Marketplace last night...

 

The neighbor of the guy I got the dishwasher from had a 1997 Roper refrigerator that wasn't sealing properly, so I went back and grabbed that today...

 

I had a bunch of excess scrap in the garage that also went on this trip, along with compressor and copper lines from Roper...

Somebody was scrapping the skeleton of a totaled BMW yesterday...

 

I scrapped two washing machines today; @Gwyns04 gave me the specific address of this one, which was near her house...

 

Take the pump base off where the hose attaches.
I bet you find some pocket change in there.

I know a guy that had to "unjam" one once.

 

Neither of the two washing machines I sent to appliance heaven today seemed to be very old, and both were high-end models. All you need to do is visit a scrapyard to see just how wasteful of a society we have become, and also how much the quality of consumer goods has dropped just in the last decade or two...

 

That last picture reminds me of the time i had to remove the drum in my granparents.
That was a puzzle, It involved 2 pieces of 2x4 and 2 lag bolts with washer.

The damn drum doesn't just come out when you remove that bolt. It's still "pressed on" the shaft.
Ain't nothing simple.
