Welcome @KevlarBear. I suppose it just depends on if you’re after a loaded 3rd gen or a base. I bet you can find a new 2023 base TRD OR for upper $30’s but if you want advanced tech, LED, maybe used is a good option for sure!

Have been reading up on the Ford Ecoboosts, plus one of my good friends is a senior tech. They are seeing engines with well over 300K being used in the commercial market, those trucks tend to get used and abused, trannies are failing around the 150K mark.

Lots of choices out there, can’t really go wrong these days with any of them, just pick which logo appeals to you the best.

We had three engines in our ‘76 F250 including the original, all before 100K. We have come a long way from those days.

I said this about 50 times in this thread now. I don’t dislike turbos. I owned two of them. A WRX(actually a Saab 92-x) and a forester XT. Neither of them blew up either.

Thanks for the welcome. And yes that's actually what I've been deciding on, though it seems the opportunity to buy new '23's is dwindling faster than my ability to make a decision. My used searches have all been for loaded TRD OR's. Premium package, advanced tech, LED, ect. I'm also curious to see if there will be a rash of 3rd gen trade ins once the 4th gens arrive on lots. Could make it easier to find a deal for what I want.

Same here, I ignored him a while ago and only see his posts when quoted. I was blasted for "not allowing his free speech". Well it is free speech, I choose to ignore it.

There’s two constants in this thread. Talking about turbos and talking about who you’ve put on ignore. :D

I’d check out the 3rd gen classified section. A few low mileage 22 & 23 have been there a while in the upper 30’s low 40’s.

If everyone took care of their vehicles per manufacture’s recommendations, things would last longer, and wouldn’t need a constant turn over of new vehicles. Can you imagine the car market if everyone made their vehicles last 20 years or beyond?

Likewise, but I don’t resort to name calling.

But the 911 has turbo and non-turbo versions and the turbo versions are just fine. Because the engines are well engineered

You can if you want too. It won’t hurt my feelings.

Apparently just disagreeing with you hurts your feelings enough to make you lash out with personal attacks. No need to go any further

Part of the reason EV's are so expensive.

Do I have to research 911 longevity now? Maybe this afternoon. I have some work that needs to get finished.

I don’t think the word “moron” is a personal attack. WTF.

No, because your mind is already made up. There’s no real reason for you to do so.
