I remember seeing that when it came out in theaters in like 2005 or something, I almost had to leave the theater during that scene I was dying laughing so hard.

movie as a whole is so stupid though lol

But what about Petey? Guy is scoring like crazy. Miller is right with him. Then Demko who has single handedly kept them in the game when their defense collapsed. Or garland who's been aggressive and part of some of the most dramatic goals of the season. Yeah it's hard to choose one or know who is going to stick around for a minute.

It seems more and more these days that the days of "franchise players" are dwindling, they are still around of course but I'm sure it all started with the introduction of the salary cap to the league way back, harder for teams to keep multiple stars on board when bigger money starts talking to them from a team with more to spend.

I think goalies are a pretty good bet because there aren't many "superstar" goalies in the league right now, and those that have them will pay to keep them. But on the other hand, goalies tend to suffer from hot and dry streaks more than any other position and more prone to long term injury.

I've never gotten a numbered/named Kings jersey, mostly because they cost way more than a blank one but also because I never really know either who to pick that might stay on board long term. Just look at what they did with their franchise goalie of 17 years J. Quick last season, offloaded him to Vegas like a hot potato after a streak of bad games and now he's killing it in New York.

Same thing sorta with the Horvat jersey. Seemed committed to the team, was made captain and soon after jumped ship. Still better than no jersey.

Goalies have the hardest job on the ice. They seem more super human than anything.

Yeah that would be a painful loss. Spokane had a real painful one on Friday... 11-1, I mean at least it was against the best team in the league but still they were shattered.

oof, that's a beer league final score lol

Normally I wouldn't be worried but the Kings are just now (hopefully) coming out of a slump that saw them drop from 3rd place in the league to a playoff wildcard spot, so there's a part of me that's a little scared

team like San Jose that's so bad they've got nothing to lose against a team fighting to regain their foothold in the league's top teams...recipe for an upset

That's the entire story of the Seattle Mariners haha, play like shit against equally crappy teams and then Boston or NY come to town and they win the whole series against em.

how expensive are tickets? The canucks tickets are $270US  against the flames in the mid section. On the ice is $500CA.

Oof...it varies based on the opponent and how popular the match is, I got these for xmas and they're nosebleeds lol. Looking at what's still available, it's actually a pretty cheap game to go to...less than $200 to sit in the 100 section, nosebleeds are around $40.

But I guarantee those prices are because it's against the Sharks, if we were playing New York like we did last game those tickets are probably 3x as much at least.

I don't mind nosebleeds so much, can see the entire ice and the puck so it's not so bad. I've sat right behind the team bench before and that sucked for seeing the game, you were just staring at the players and coaches backs the entire time.

Mid section is probably ideal in most cases I think

I was working up in Toronto back in 2007-08. Wanted to catch my Bruins play the Leafs... the tickets were so goddamn spendy that I never did do it. I think there were 3 games contested while I was in the city, too. And even had a little leeway to expense some of the cost, but it was like 200+ for nosebleeds and maybe 500+ for a decent mid ice lower seat. Totally effing nuts. Especially considering how bad the Leafs were that year...

I liked sitting up high behind the opposing net when I would go to chiefs games. But if I'm traveling to Vancouver, fuckit I'm going to be on the ice, money be damned. I don't remember the tickets this expensive before, wonder rif they went up this year since the team is doing well.

Most likely yeah, also I'm sure because it's a Canadian vs Canadian team the rivalry is more intense and drives up prices due to demand/popularity

Like when the Kings play the Ducks down here, even though Anaheim is a bottom dwelling team this year those tickets will still be expensive

I am just partial to the Hughes brothers. 3 of them in the NHL. The parents did something right.

I have a Robitaille jersey Forum Blue and gold, a Blake Jersey from the early 2000s, a Gretzky jersey Chevy logo and a Kopitar Colorado outdoor game jersey. I also have a handful of blanks. I'd always grab them when sports authority clearance them out at the end of the season. I think maybe a Q.B. next

They need this win tonight. If they loose it may kill all confidences in the rest of the season.

Yeah I think a safe bet is to grab a jersey named after an iconic franchise player of years' past, can't go wrong with that. I wouldn't mind a Kopi or even a Quick jersey. I went to the Kings v Ducks outdoor game back in 2014, it was a cool experience but the setup at the baseball arena was in no way ideal for watching a hockey game...like at all. Then the Kings lost 3-0 so that sucked, my brother is a Ducks fan so I never heard the end of it
