Mine were both out so I replaced only 1 side with a 194 size led bulb I had laying around, Posted it here last week . Plenty bright with only 1 light

Right on, but I think only one light would drive me nuts personally

I used SMD2 (24 lumens) from diode dynamics and it’s not too bright in the camera or anything, just slightly different from headlights since it’s a cool white I think

fwiw the iPhone night camera photo mode makes it look brighter in the pic too

I tend to do questionable shit just for the hell of it. Maybe Im inviting LEO to pull me over, to let me know I have a bulb out? That and I don't see it

Definitely Halogen. I may have modified them slightly, but they are Halogen.

The slight difference between plate light and head light was too much for me, I had to put the halogens back in. Maybe the pure white matches the headlights more..

I couldnt see sh!t at night with the terrible OEM halogen headlights. I scored an OEM set of 2020 LED's and can actually see in front of me while driving now.

I’ve always been under the impression of the less the police can see my rear plate, the better.

In actuality that just gives them a good reason to pull you over.

Well, we couldn’t have that. I’m sure you could regift. I have a birthday the same day as one of your brothers gives you the pricey ‘puter. (And my wife says I only think about myself.)

I found myself in time out. I’m sure I deserved it. Never dawned on me to give a $hit beyond not wanting to earn a 2nd trip. Meaning, I thought it quite bizarre all those rants against the moderators. None of them seemed even slightly entertaining, though the mods responses were quite clever.

Well, that tips about 43 years too late. Drove ‘68 Beetle to ski in PA only to find the car immovable after setting overnight in my friends driveway. Now I know why.
