Amanda and I both got the lobster and shrimp lovers platters that include both Maine lobster and rock lobster tails; I will spending all of my scrap money from this week on this meal, but it's our first anniversary, so it's a very special occasion! We also each got clam chowder, and a couple of appetizers to share...

This stove came out the 2nd floor unit of a brick rowhome in Lansdale that was converted into two apartments. The guy who gave me the stove and owned the building lived in the downstairs unit and was renovating the upstairs unit. This tiny little thing seems like it would be more at home in an off-grid cabin or studio apartment in NYC than in a fairly large apartment, and it's replacement was a normal-size stainless steel 30" gas range that had just been delivered...

The reason I put the gas stove in the garage is because I am going on a roadtrip with my dad tomorrow, and we will be less than an hour and a half from @steelcity2's neck of the woods! @Stitchgirl90 is borrowing my truck for the day so she can get to work, and I will be going to Johnstown with my dad! NAVMAR rented a place out in Johnstown for many years, but they are not renewing the lease and my dad is overseeing the clearout. He asked me if I wanted to come, so I said yes. Amanda gets my Tacoma, because my dad and I are going in NAVMAR's new Silverado 2500HD Z71! This is mostly about spending time with my dad; I have also never been to the Johnstown facility, and there is a slight possibility that there will be stuff that I am allowed to scrap.

I have flown out to the West Coast plenty of times over the last two decades, but I have not been on a cross-country drive since 2002 when my dad was transferred from Washington (state) to Northern Virginia. I got my driver's license in 2011, and the furthest West that I have ever been within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since we moved back here in 2005, both behind the wheel and as a passenger. We may have driven through Pittsburgh in 1996 when we moved to California from Pennsylvania and drove across the country, but I was only 7 years old and don't remember much about that trip; I spent most of the trip watching VHS tapes on the portable TV/VCR that my parents had bought me.

I have driven to Carlisle and York by myself plenty of times, but never beyond either of those places; I have also driven to Centralia and to my cousin's place in the Wilkes-Barre area. In July 2022, I drove all the way to Syracuse (then to Rochester) and back home again, which required me to drive through Scranton and within a stone's throw of Binghamton.

The longest I have ever driven solo one-way was to Rockport, Massachusetts in September 2022. It was over five hours there one way, which included brutal rush hour traffic in Connecticut. The return trip required a drive into Boston because we stopped to see the USS Constitution before leaving, and to top it off that's when my truck was out of commission due to what ended up being a blown head gasket, so I was driving my mom's 2013 Nissan Murano; I got to meet @ABA180 for dinner at the Legal Seafood in Lynnfield, but we were denied a pretty epic photo op because I didn't have my truck...

The trip to Syracuse was maybe 4½ hour at most and very easy, but after the Syracuse Nationals, I went to see my cousin who lives in the Rochester area and then drove home from there. This pushed the return trip past five hours, and I had to leave my cousin's at 7am; I'm just glad that my truck survived a roundtrip weekend vacation to upstate New York before the head gasket blew!

It sucks that I do not live in Ohio, because I would help you take all of that to the scrapyard in exchange for half the money and a case of beer!

If we loaded up both of our trucks and you rented a UHAUL to pull behind yours, we could probably clear out your property in one trip!

I think the longest nonstop trip I made was from Mechanicsburg, Pa to Tennessee.
    Wasn’t too bad.

I did a Tn to Minneapolis, Mn once.

Kind of want to do Tn to Ca trip. But that won’t happen anytime soon.

I would trust my truck on a trip to California, but I'd want to bring an unopened 5-quart jug of full synthetic oil just in case...

Can relate, i almost sold a few of my bikes in 2021. Moreso because of my wife's surgery.

Hey Johnstown , that's about 90 minutes from me. Home to world's steepest vehicular incline! Check it out. Then also the Johnstown flood museum! Have fun.

I've been thinking more and more about selling my ATV and garden tractor and buying a subcompact Kubota instead. I won't even get that much out of the ATV, but I don't use it for trail riding or anything and it needs some TLC. Better to have the cash from it and the shed space freed up than putting cash into it.
