That's awesome. Can I get a spec sheet with the precise measurements of the 45W panels including the distance to the bolt holes? I have the sunroof kit for my Alpha Rack and want to make sure these will fit.

PSA… unless you want the entire seal around the panel to fail I would not recommend buying Lensun. Naturally, this happened after the warranty expired. Water and all kinds of junk are able to get in between the layers now and it also looks like shit. Interestingly, the panel still works but I wonder for how long?

Me too, tired of the chineseium crap, and this it a really well developed product. I just have no justifiable reason to spend the $$$ for the amount of time I spend off grid.

The website doesn’t explain what the vinyl is for, I’m assuming it’s just a optional item so the adhesive on the solar panel isn’t actually stuck on your paint if you want to remove the panel?

I’m not worried about that, I’d rather have the panel be as secure as possible and don’t anticipate having to buy another one if it’s not necessary for a one-time installation. Do I need the additional vinyl for that?

The vinyl is a protective vinyl that goes on the hood underneath the panel to prevent any contact between the back of the panel and the vehicle paint. Without the vinyl, the pre-installed weather stripping on the back of the panel would be resting directly on the paint.

The vinyl is sized so its actually slightly smaller than the panel itself (you don't see it when installed) and the tape does bond directly to the paint, through our R&D we found the tape adheres much better to the paint itself than to a vinyl. The tape/panel can be removed from the hood if necessary without any damage to the paint. Let me know if you have any other questions. Cheers!
