Hey TW, I did my 2012-2015 front end refresh on my 2007 prerunner doube cab. I got the new foglights and my old bulbs dont fit. So I bought bulbs that fit, but the new issue was that the connector didnt go into this new bulb. So i now know that the foglight connectors were differnt in 05-11 than the 12-15. im not too sure what to do to get around this. as of right now i just have my old bulbs held in with friction and tape. I eventually want to upgrade to baja designs fogligjt but ill run into the issue again of connectors not fitting. any help would be nice.

I would get the Baja kit, then just cut and splice/connect the wires. I know it can suck to cut off those nice connectors, but you can just use some butt or bullet connectors.

Looks like a good option if those are indeed the right things you are adapting between. I simply wired my Baja's to a switch panel and my Fog switch currently does nothing. Planned to use the fog switch to a relay to shut off all my offroad lights when going to low beam, but got lazy and never finished that project.

it sounds like you have a lot of aux lighting on your truck. As of now, i only have cali raised ditch lights with thier oem switch. I personally like the look of the switches and i hope i dont have to get the switch panel. i think for now ill just buy the baja designs and splice. ill send pics once its all said and done.

I just have ditch lights and baja driving lights in the fog positions. All 4 are sports. Nothing fancy. The switch panel was mainly to run my strobe lights while I was in Search and Rescue. But it also runs my cell booster, air compressor, and now my ditch and driving lights. It's just six position. Not a switch pro or anything like that.

oh damn i havent seen anyone mount a switch panel there before. i always just dismissed the idea of having one because i only ever see it on the second gens in the middle next to the auto shifter. that area is already too crowded for me because i have a CB radio in the little slot under where the oem radio goes

If you grab that cubby and yank it out, you'll see it has like 4 clips on the back. If I recall correctly, I just cut around those clips so it maintained a nice flat backer that I screwed the switch panel's mounting arm to. The wiring passes under what's left of the cubby/plate and up into the dash hidden away. As I've added wiring, I simply grab the switch panel and pull and the whole unit comes out easily with those OEM clips still working like new. I left enough wire to give it slack to do this.

My HAM radio setup is far from ideal. I mounted it to the side of the center console beside/behind my right calf. I'm small, so I don't hit it, but it could be in the way for a lot of folks. Ran remote head to top of dash. It works, but could be much better.

Good luck as you continue modding away! let us know how the lights go.

You could use something better than regular crimp butt connectors. Either solder & heat shrink or even better are the butt connectors thats a piece of heat shrink with solder inside. They might be hard to find, Ive seen them at hobby shops that sell rc cars and at better electrical supply stores.

The ones with solder and heat shrink are at all the auto parts stores around here (in WA), and definitely a good choice. I've gotten by with standard crimp connectors, but always use heat shrink  Just got a soldering iron for Xmas and will be using it on my next project for sure!
