The truck is already expensive enough, kinda BS that to get a sliding window you have to spend that much. Especially when the power slider was part of standard equipment on the 3rd Gen.

Well boys, I got seat time in a 3rd gen after work today (2022 off road with the basic tech package only). It was exactly like I expected, which is a good thing. Drove nice, good interior controls/layout, good options, ect. The seating position even seemed good at full height and seat all the way back. To be clear though, I'm currently in a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, and if any of you have spent any time in one of those like I have (7 years of daily driving) then you know my bar is loooow for interior and drive feel. Unfortunately that specific dealer isn't expecting any 2024's till mid/late february. I'd much prefer at least sitting in one before I make the decision between used 3rd gen vs new 4th gen. Let's see if I can be patient lol

It is, not finding a manual open slider either. Don’t need power (it’s nice but not necessary) can turn around and reach mine no problem. Of course the XC is scratched off the list so there is that, ok need a power one. Lol!

I'm very surprised at least a manual slider isn't standard. Especially with the 5' bed popularity. I know plenty of folks who love their slider when they need to carry a 6-8' pipe or lumber and use the slider to stick it in a bit to avoid the tailgate overhand. And obviously airflow aswell.

The Green Car Package is invaluable at $1295, what with the nitrogen air and all. If that is in the price, subtract $1295 from the discounts LOL. Still, good to see the 3rd gen getting larger discounts.

    Yeah weird.

Not seeing anything in the specs, unless I am missing it.

LOL. Yep, they did the deposit on Jan 9th.

Honestly, I should have paid more attention to the health of the company. I didn't realize they were in such bad shape.

Have spent some time in my buddy’s JKU, do like the interior, and the Gladiator. Considered a Gladiator but prices were through the roof, maybe when they bottom out, maybe, still no 6’ bed.

Yeah you’ll have sit in a 4G to make a final decision, my guess if you drive them back to back you’ll pick the 4G, because of the lowend torque.

more proof the dealer system is not going anywhere. Saturn tried the whole no haggle when they came out, worked out great for them. Scion, same fate.
Tesla partly succeeds due to their customers seeing the car as a damn appliance instead of a car (oh I didn’t know it was not normal for the doors to not line up!). Also their advertising is shady as fuck. Imagine if your local Ford dealer advertised a Lightning at $25,000* (based on fuel savings over 3 years). People would lose their collective shit.

Maybe someone can chime on this. From my original understanding if you got any TRD sport or TRD Off-road you’d get the 12.3 inch instrument cluster? Is that true? Because looking at spec sheets it’s an option but I didn’t see it mentioned in the normal TRD or premium packages.

You have to pay for one of the upgraded packages to get the large screen, I am pretty sure.

My bad. As SwollenGoat shows, the upgraded instrument cluster screen comes standard on TRD Sport models.

I was cornfused too, was thinking it was the multi-media screen he was talking about at first.

    That is $845 upgrade.

I am actually surprised that Toyota isn't requiring buyers to pay for some 4k+ upgrade package with a bunch of other doodads in order to get the bigger multimedia screen.

Me too! While not exactly cheap, the OR seems like the best “deal” out of all the trims, as for what comes standard on it. Packages under $3K seem somewhat reasonable.
