Inconsiderate yes, dick is a bit much for me (TWSS). I feel bad when it rains or I'm driving through a construction site, otherwise w/e. If a lambo with super sticky tires can drive around with no rear bumper for the IG flex, i'm not too worried about my truck tires.

IMO it's only a dick move if you go offroading in the mud then hit the freeway without rinsing/cleaning off the tires. then you're hurling mud chunks at 80mph+.

I'm in the same boat, HC bumper, lifted big tires, ripped off every mudflap I've tried. Sorry :-(

I get it, I do, but still, y'all are choosing looks, not repairing your vehicle, and bigger tires (again, looks, 90% of the time ;) ) over others on the road. Probably not intentionally, but it's a side effect of it. I've had mud, water, rocks, etc get slung at me from all manners of cars. Risk of getting on a motorcycle, sure, but when you're putting on bigger tires, going outside of your fender lines, taking off mud flaps, it empirically will kick up more road debris than if you hadn't, and motorcyclists (and windshields lol) are on the receiving end of that.
    :crapstorm:

Just my opinion, y'all do y'all, of course, and no hard feelings towards anywhere here :hattip: I'm looking forward to my rain-y splash-y commute back home :bikewheelie:

Excuse you sir, I'm an asshole, not a dick. Get it right

I've been behind trucks/jeeps that pick up dirt/fling mud. It still doesn't bother me as much as people who spray their windshield at speed.

Not to discount anything you're saying lol. just my own opinion.

Also, for the record, I run tail tidies on some of my bike, same same but for motorcycles, I'm not immune to it :anonymous:

I'd put it in the same category as people who don't put carts back or people who run LED bulbs in stock halogen housings

Mildly annoying in the truck…absolutely infuriating on the bike lol

what about someone who always puts their cart back but runs LED bulbs in an aftermarket halogen housing? Asking for a friend…no really…

OK, anyone have any clue as to the purpose of this "p trap" on the carb overflow/drain line from the bottom of the bowl of the carb on the XT225? I have dealt with countless carbs over the years and have NEVER seen a drain/overflow line with something like this on the end and curious as to its purpose!

    20240121_174429.jpg

EDIT - Whelp that explains it.... stupid CA, Im still curious as to the function. Fuel shouldnt normally be in there at all so its not like it would block fuel vapors from escaping the carb (hell the carb has a 1/4in vent line right out the top into the frame.

    Screenshot 2024-01-23 192315.png

Either way, that answers that its coming off - all the other CA emissions BS has been removed / capped off already and I finally cut the stupid charcoal canister bracket off the front of the frame that stuck out like a sore thumb.

Is it a one-way valve, possibly?
