oh crap. I was hoping due to them seeming to stick out wider a bit more than stock it might be fine but I guess not. Looks like I’ve got some math to do on figuring out which spacers are needed.

I have 255/85/16s what’s the minimum wheel spacer width I can use with stock 2nd gen wheels. I believe it’s a 30mm offset rim. Or what type of wheel offset could I get to not have to use spacers?

Stock Taco wheels +30 probably have about 5.25" BS.
255s give a little better clearance than a 285, not much.
I ran 255/80-17 Cooper ST Maxx on FJ Cruiser 17x7.5 et 15 4.75" BS with 1.25" spacers

Hey Eric, I know its been mentioned a ton in this thread here, but im curious if you think ill need spacers for my setup. I have SCS Ray10 with -10 offset and 4.30 BS. I currently am at 265/70/17 but soon plan on going and staying at 33s. Ill be doing your 2.5 relocation kit, a 2.5x12 smooth body. In your experience, for the 33s will I need spacers? Thanks for any help.

For those running 14" shocks with this relocation, what size limit straps do y'all run? Curious so I can order everything at once

I wouldnt pre-order straps based on someone else's setup. Every truck is different. Way too many variables between different leaf springs, shocks, hangers and shackles, and then there is variability in installation from one truck to the next, including the limit strap mounts themselves.

I ordered the limit strap mounts ahead of time and had them welded up during install, but waited till I brought it home and drooped everything to order the straps themselves based on my measurements. It's nice to have everything on hand, but sometimes you just can't until you put it together.

Im looking into a more DIY approach to my relocation kit and i want to know if you all think that its possible to do hammer hangers and the relocation at home with no lift and amateur welding skills. i really dont have it in my best interest to spend around 2k for installation (in socal)

You do need to know how to weld vertically, considerably harder than welding on a table.

Maybe start with Hammer Hangers install, no welding, get them on and get your confidence up with that, and get your ride quality reward

Nope, A lift just makes it easier. Having an air hammer and a ball joint press is very handy for the hammer hangers though. Use the air hammer on the rivets in the side of the frame then the BJ press in the bottom

Maybe put this in this thread. Probably dont want to muddy up Erics thread here too much.

Hey @ARCHIVE sorry if this question has been asked before, I just flipped through 50+ pages and gained a lot of knowledge but also wanted to double check before pulling the trigger on this. I have a DCSB 3rd gen currently running 2.5x12inch King on the rear with Deaver U402 Stage 3 and running 35s . My bed carries fridge, RTT, etc. I am thinking about getting your shock tower and hammer hanger. I want to keep my Deaver Stage III U402 so would you recommend King 2.5 12" or 14" triple bypass? Also any comments on my SCS 17x9 wheels with -38mm offset and 3.50" BS? Do you think I would need wheel spacer?
