NVDA only goes up

 

I have a little wager going. My 1040x came in over the holidays. (My $7500 mistake) I could have tossed it on my CD that matures in 6months and earn $187.5 or try for better with the market. I’m not an options guy (yet). I also missed the Fed interest rate cut announcement by a couple weeks.
I’ve learned that it doesn’t matter how good the banks did, they ain’t pulling out without consistent positive rate news! If it weren’t for the 3 shares of NVDA I picked up I’d be pretty flat….so don’t jinx it! “Baby needs a new pair of shoes”

 

Always. Hope some of you guys caught the mega dip last year. Bottom was $112 10/14/22. Not many stocks that aren't MEMEs will do 400% in 18 months. NVDA can and does. lol

 

Here I was about to buy a couple $360 AMD calls (150 strike) when stock was dipping to $135 recently. Same option is now $2700.

 

Buy NVDA leap puts. It's gotta go down at SOME POINT, right?

 

The rug pull has to come at some point. AMD up 30% and NVDA up 25% since 1/4

 

If you believe in the ancient due diligence of yore (circa 2021), the hedge funds have no choice but to prop up these stocks to provide liquidity/collateral for their short positions they over-leveraged on during the pandemic. Should they not, the house of cards collapses.

 

If only I had followed my own advice. I have exactly 0 shares and probably won’t have any at the point lol

Yes but I meant owning stock. I purposefully geared my 401k to be more invested in US tech and stocks. Only have 15% bonds. Even then I don’t get to choose which funds my money goes into since my employer has the fidelity directed plan. I can only tell them my risk tolerance and preference and they do what they think is best with my money.
Got a return of 19% last year, but 3 year return is 3%

So my wife's Subaru had an exhaust leak between the cat back and the muffler. Gasket rotted out. She dropped it of today.
Somehow (I won't argue) it needs a full exhaust system replacement from the manifold back, including the $4,200 converter pipe....
But apparently it's covered under some TSB warranty extension settlement for rust belt states up to 150K. She's at 134k
$6,000 exhaust system replacement for free. Nice.


Oh and I got to bring a special treat back from Orlando. Flu. Got back Friday...Started feeling wonky Saturday. 48+ in bed. Maybe able to go back to work tomorrow. I blame the coughing rug rat in seat 31E.


Now that I think about it, I'm surprised Massachusetts doesn't make you pay the tax on the value of the warranty parts…

Other than fomo I don't know what intrinsically moved that stock to quadruple in share price in 2 weeks. Looks like a put play.

 

i have a feeling it will bounce around the $20-$60 range a couple times this year....just guessing though.
