Greetings TW. My power steering screamed for several years and finally stopped working. First I cleaned out the reservoir and flushed the lines. No good. Next I replaced pump and bleed the lines. Now the fluid is flowing out from under the cap on reservoir and no power steering. Please help with next step. Thanks

when u say 'cleaned reservoir' did you clean the incorporated screen inside the res?

mine took 4 freakin cans of brake cleaner to get presentable and let enough fluid to get into entire system

Mine was screaming too, replaced the 6203 bearing with a nice nachi one and it fixed it!

I put the front end on stands and ran the engine and rotated the wheel in both directions to suck up the fluid. Worked well and still works.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along

It sounds like the screen was never cleaned completely !

No pressure because the pump is starving for fluid!!

    Poor quality pump?

The power steering is bled by turning the wheels lock to lock not cracking the lines!!

ATF not power steering fluid !!

Dex/merc atf! but yes you need to cycle the steering rack while the engine is running to bleed properly. Fun!

i cleaned the screen and cleaner poured thru it. Could see light all the way thru the screen (just under the size of a dime). I have cranked the steering wheel lock to lock about 20 times....I'm going to drain, flush, refill and bleed all over again. Will advise if that works. Thanks

Just where did your pump come from? Some very poor quality remans on the market.

My thinking you just received a bad pump take it back !!

    Best of luck!!
