    I haven’t don’t any reading or investigating but is the recommended “fuel system service to remove and reduce carbon buildup” just some Lexus snake oil? Both my GX and my wife’s NX are getting that recommended for service now. I’m at 108k miles and she is around 71k I believe.

    If it's like my shop, it's just fuel additive. Save your money and decline it next time. You can probably find a better product at the local parts store.
    I never use oil additives and once in a great while, I toss a bottle of Lucas Oil fuel treatment (10020) in right before filling up.
    I've seen it on sale at O'Reilly's Auto, 2/$10

    Are those direct injection motors? If they are I agree with Harry. If they are port injection and therefore shooting fuel upstream of the intake valves, the cannister cleaners that replace the vehicle fuel do work for cleaning backside of the intake valves

    That's generally not part of a routine maintenance. We only do that if a customer has a driveability concern.

    Exhaust is super quiet. Ordering the exhaust tip today. I have to clean up the cut I made and install it.
