They’ve got a box they live in outside. Usually it’s about 20° warmer than outside with them piled in there. All of them have been playing in the snow the last couple of days

Jesus, if that meme doesn't explain cats I don't know what does. In, out, in, out, in, out.

The wife bitched at me about not opening a door for her once.....I told her I was on a break, my door opening arm is tired from the damn cats

Mine are outside full time. They hibernated for a couple days when it was -20 but outside of that, they are outside running around. They don’t really care lol it’s been around 30 here and they all sat on the deck all day

i forget i have 2 barn cats that live outside full time. they were "included" when I purchased my house. i tried to pull them into my mud room during the cold snap in the teens and they went right back out figured warm food and a warm blanket to sleep on would be nicer then the drafty barn. but no. though I have occasionally found them napping on my shop couch when I'm working on something out there

we have a trash can thing in our kitchen area, and it has a basket we put mail and school folders stuff like that for the kids. our orange tabby likes to take his midday naps in that basket. and occasionally in the TV stand there is a pocket for like a cable box and that is another spot he likes!

We adopted Merfy three years ago. He was abandoned and stumbled upon my uncle’s property looking for someone to bring him in. We took him under our wing and it took a while for him to gain trust in us. He is now the sweetest boy but just got devastating news that he has a cancerous mass in his chest. He’s on steroids and hanging in there. Just trying to cherish everyday with him

When our Ginger got a similar diagnosis we were absolutely devastated by the 4-6 weeks prognosis. We decided that since she was only going to be with us a short time, we would stop everything that she didn't like - pills, diet, frequent vet visits - and just let her live large. We delivered her steroid via a transdermal cream in her ear, and that was the only drug she got. We let her eat whatever she wanted, treats were constant, and people food was not avoided. We showered her with attention, and amazingly she lived almost a year...and it was the best year of her life. I totally feel for you guys, and hope you have a similar outcome. We still call 2020 "The Year of Ginger". Regardless, you saved Merfy, and he knows it. You love the little guy, and I bet he knows that too.
