unless that was redesigned, thats for non-magnuson 1gr, it will not clear the belt.

Did he make new ones for the supercharged application due to fitment? Mine is still sitting in a box after folks complained it did not fit the Boosted applications.

Hmm I did mock it up today but without the SC belt. Will definitely verify fitment tomorrow. It didn't look any different than the OEM unit besides the fact that it seems the inlet is tilted more outwards towards the radiator.

    Will take some pics tomorrow.

Seriously doubt that Tstat housing has been revised. I never heard shit back when I ran into the clearance issue with the blower belt. It's just a paperweight on my workbench at this point. he made some good money on some of us....

I've seen no data to indicate that low temp thermostats do anything statistically measurable in terms of power over a standard thermostat in a stock motor build.

My sample size is only 1, but the Darton sleeved motor I tuned did run a bit hotter as expected than a stock liner. That would be more appropriately handled with a more efficient heat exchanger/ducting than a cooler thermostat. However, I probably would go with a 170deg thermostat in a sleeved motor. I would not recommend the 160 deg thermostats as there are OBD thresholds that cannot be mapped/altered in the ECU that expect the coolant temp to rise at a particular rate and to a given temperature in a given amount of time. If coolant temps don't meet that threshold, the ECU assumes there's a fault and trips a CEL.

I can lower some of the threshold/triggers temps for 170's but no matter what I do, the 160's have been troublesome.

Was supposed to receive some additional parts from SCOL today to mock up the belt (new m10 studs and supposed "upgraded" 5 rib idler pulley #2 - mine was out of round after rebuilding for whatever reason, I blame used kits) but it never arrived as per FedEx to be delivered before 5pm...

I compared both housings and they literally look the same in regards to the inlet angle which I surmise would've been an issue in regards to belt clearance. Not sure if the hps SC specific hoses has anything to do with it but of course I wasn't able to get any pictures due to being in between high priority jobs at work.

Probably need to put my money where my mouth is and snap a few images tomorrow otherwise I will also join the nice paperweight gang.

Transmission is correctly filled thanks to @rheath08

And I could feel the front pulling while it was on the jacks and man that shit in the front works lol.

I'm anxious to see what the transgo kit I put in feels like, and to finally get @JustDSM to tune my truck since I passed smog!

Recent SCOL order took longer than expected. Emailed and they responded quickly. Said it was held up due to weather. Order arrived the next day. Ordered Sunday the 14th, arrived Fri the 19th. Kind off disappointed with the amount they charged for delivery. Cali to MN.
