If he's a good guy, he won't mind getting you the part number on the shock and information on spring. Spring should have a rating (something like 590lb, 650lb, etc) and a length.

These do pop up and are a great upgrade for cheap. I gave my 2nd gens away to someone with a high mileage Taco when I upgraded to Icons early on.

I think you mean 4464. But yeah, that should be a drop in replacement. Is the pic you posted first (of your truck) before or after removing the spacer lift?

Yes sorry you are correct. The spacer is not on the vehicle.

I'm running outta ideas, lol. No clue why the front is sitting so high. Those shouldn't give any lift.

    All stock, baby!
I have KYB shocks/springs on the front of my Taco, and with the TSB leaf pack, it sat roughly flat. The pack was replaced in 2018, but the leafs were a bit inverted on level ground and they rode like crap. I replaced with a new set from Alcan that has more thinner leafs, and I’m pretty happy with that set up, although I didn’t gain any height in the back, which I was hoping for.

If you can get a picture that is a straight shot down the leaf pack when the truck is on flat ground, post it. Would be interesting to see if yours is inverted a little bit. You can also make a measurement straight up from the center of the wheel to the edge of the fender. As I recall, it will be a bit over 21”, give or take.

I’ve heard positive things about Alcan leaf springs.

That's a good bit of weight to be carrying around constantly. What's it look like if you remove the sand?

Still off but better. It’s sandbags loaded up for the last snow we had.

I want to thank everyone for the replies. I’ve done extensive work to my vehicles including some aspects of the suspension, but I have never touched shocks/springs, etc. I am woefully ignorant! Based on comments I think I need a competent shop to look it over and then recommend a course of action. The truck is with my son three hours away so it may be spring break before it happens. I’ll update this thread accordingly.

Once you've had someone look at it post back here and let us know what they recommend and what you plan to do. If you are told you need new leafs you can save a fair amount of money by doing it yourself. Lots of us have installed our own suspension lifts on our trucks and would be willing to guide you through the install process.

I had my leaf springs on my 06 Tacoma replaced under a recall warranty a couple of years ago. Is yours still eligible? Or did you already have it done?

The OP posted this picture. These appear to be the TSB springs.

Will 2020 factory leaf springs work on my 2006?

Yes but they’ll be the same as the leafs you have now if they are indeed the recall 4 pack. I guess there’s a chance they won’t be as worn out.

I found a set locally for $20. Guy says only 30,000 miles on them. No way to confirm that, of course...

Might be worth a try if you do it yourself, you really should get new ubolts and hardware if you go that route though.
