I think even a knee or hip replacement would qualify as replacement of OEM part, but we'd need a ruling from the bunker.

 

Last night out at dinner I got a text from a buddy who's at Daytona for the 24 Hour. That got us talking and we decided we're going to Indy this year for the 500. Last time was in 2019.

I love the Indy 500. Nothing like it anywhere, is there? The campers along streets in the neighborhoods...Carb day! I'm jealous!!

 

We've done a tour package so we get a motorcoach with police escort from the hotel to get through the traffic. And always pay extra for seats under the main straight roof. Gets us out of the sun.

And I always call it The Speedway...never, ever Brickyard

 

Yes! My company is based in Noblesville IN and they do a customer open house every year for the 500. I always try to take a customer. We do the tour bus and escort as well! 50 person suite. They get pit passes etc...very good for customer relations.
I wont be going this year as i will be putting in my 2 week notice today at 5pm.

 

In 2019 We went to Anderson the night before for The Little 500. 33 sprint cars on a 1/4 mile oval was insanity. As I believe Dick Trickle described it as " its like racing jet fighters in a high school gymnasium"

As I added that stipulation, since OEM parts are unavailable, having non factory parts installed
in order to maintain full status is completely allowed.
Although proof of said repairs maybe required..

I looked at a 2023 SR 4x4 AC Taco yesterday, she is a brand new truck that's been on the lot for about 6 months. No deals to be had, the sales staff mentality is that when people see the cost of a new base '24 4x4, the 3rd gen will look like a relative deal. Looks like I will keep the '15 for a while longer.

Has anyone else found the 'girl off grid' YT channel? She's a handy DIY'er living in the wilds of Canadia in a fixer-upper cabin.
