Hello all Tacoma nerds, I have a 2004 4x4 (See pic in profile) I have a rusting out 3rd member and leaking Diff fluid. Before I go to Toyota is there a place online I can grab a used one. Any help appreciated. Pic below is just a grab from the interwebs.

    4 run, 2 don't
Tons of them available, used and for cheap.

Just make sure you match gear ratios.

Easy to ship in an 8 gallon bucket.

as mentioned above, just make sure the gear ratio matches the one in your front diff. If you end up with mismatched gears front/rear, you'll be in for some hurt when you run it in 4wd.

I scored a 4.30 3rd member (with the locker) for my 3rd gen 4runner back in September on eBay for like $450 with free shipping. I'd keep an eye out on eBay for what you're looking for

I see them anywhere between $600-$1,200. Next would be to find someone to install it.

Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
I would be amazed if the 3rd member is rusted enough to cause a leak.

The back cover is the thinnest spot and can rust through. Weld on replacements are available.

Yes many are bewildered. Welded on a half moon on the other side 3 years ago. Thought it was pinion seal leaking as oil was all collecting there. Replaced pinion seal. Still collected. Then chipped away the surface rust and oil pours out of differential housing. I hear the gears whining too now.
