Had 265/75/16 duratracs c rated that got way too loud after only 30k miles on them. Did proper timely rotation and kept inflated to 35psi

ordered toyo at3 sl and after seeing them in person the sidewall looked pathetic.

was hesitant to go with an e rated tire after putting ultraterrain goodyears in my last trd offroad. They felt super heavy and brick like.

decided on 265/75/16 ko2 after seeing them in store and couldn't be happier after a whopping 4 mile drive home in my 2019 trd pro

I wasn't willing to risk rubbing with the 285s despite all of tacomaworld seeming to think they wouldnt rub.

Anyone got tips on the best psi? Currently at 38IMG_4692.jpg

38psi seems high for unloaded stock truck, not towing, and e-rated. But only you can figure out the best psi for you because one size doesn’t fit all.

Start with chalk test (Google if unfamiliar) and adjust for best handling/tire wear from there.

I run 35 front 32 rear, our trucks are super light in the back end. If you’re towing or loaded down that’s different.
Awesome choice! I’m running Falkens for a change but they are 10 pounds heavier a tire for the same size and load range as my KO2s.
I’d definitely buy KO2s again, I do look for Jeep takeoffs to save cash.

36 is the calculated pressure for LT265/75R16, based on converting from the stock pressure. Doesn’t matter if C or E.

For sure, they come with either KO2s or Falken AT3w 285 70 17 in C load, the Jeep guys want 35s or 37s off the lot so they sell stuff pretty cheap. The Falkens I picked up for $1000 cdn or $740 usd.

I just grabbed 5 KO2s from a jeep guy who pulled them off with less than 1k miles for $550, Crazy I tell you.

    Score!

I just put BFG 285/70/18 on my 1 ton last May and paid 197.00 each after playing a couple companies against each other. Normally these tires are 320.00 each.

The Jeep guys think 33s are small, they can throw on 35s easy and 37s with minimal effort. We have to butcher our trucks to fit 35s and 37s.
285s do look awesome on our trucks!
