Dang! not to piss you off. :D

$71.25 for the 3 year tags. The Lady asked if I wanted to do 1, 2 or 3 years. I didn't ask how much, just said 3, and was pleasantly surprised.

So wait, people in California can complain about it, but people who choose not to live there have to shut up?

no no, we're complaining about the DMV

I too enjoy complaining about the DMV especially when I have AAA membership that i've only used for tows and not for any of their quicker services.

Dude, it's relentless. We've had decent mid-days (like right now for example) but yeah, the rain is getting to me too!

Haha yup that sounds about right! Seems to be how most other states are.

Oh I dont mind if others complain about CA... I LOATHE our politics/politicians, social policies, green agenda etc etc etc that the Democratic supermajority is HEAVILY pushing in this state and the fact that people keep voting for these people to keep making these illogical policies that are ruining this once great state.

What I REALLY hate is when the residents of CA who vote this way take the same mindset elsewhere "because they dont like it here any more for X Y Z"... this makes the rest of the people in the state look bad.

And this is coming form a 34 year CA resident.

Yeah, it wasn't you specifically, but there was complaining about "California hate" previously. I'm just trying to find out what the rules are.

No rules, hate all you want IMO because I can almost GUARENTEE its a very justified and quantifiable reason.

I feel like if someone from CA was butthurt about someone outside of the state complaining about CA for whatever reason its HIGHLY likely that person at some point voted in the policy/person of which ended up creating the issue in the first place.

This state is CHOCKED FULL of hypocrites.

About the only good things left in this state is weather and access to such a plethora of activities. (And family/friends if they are located here). Those are literally the only reasons I'm still here.

Yeah, years back that would be a plus, but now days.... I would be worried that there's extra "baggage" being packed around and you're actually looking at a dude.

    Hells no! post away.

sidebar: funny how the prez and govt. are on the east coast, but the west coast (CA.) comes up with all Kinds of things that the rest of the 49 states, damn near has to follow. I don't get it and never will. mini rant over.

Lol definitely a concern in CA. that said, i've met a few, and it's always been very obvious. I think you'd be able to distinguish.

lol hey now, we don't objectify women like that

I would also add the food as a draw. I have yet to visit another state with as many quality options and diversity (haven't been to NY though which I hear is just as good if not better)

    nor me...

BACK TO MOTORCYCLES...... cus ya know discussion of things above treads a fine line with policies on this site....

My 2014 Grom: Return to stock (as much as I can) or sell as is?

10k miles on the clock with ~ 6k miles on the below upgrades.

    Upgrades that I could remove:
    • Kitaco 164cc BBK
    • Big oil cooler
    • Finbro Big valve (27/24mm) head that I ported and polished intake/exhaust tract and combustion chamber with heavy springs
    • 6 bolt clutch plate and heavy springs
    • Finbro ECU and bigger injector
    • Chimera Intake with Uni Filter
    Upgrades I cant / wouldn't remove:
    • Lightened Oil spinner (hard to put metal back on thats been machined off)
    • Port matched and polished throttle body / intake manifold (again hard to put metal back on thats been ground off)
    • Cam chain tensioner and supporting mods (increase reliability and resale on these items wouldnt be much).
    • DG Exhaust header (maybe). I still have the stock header but had to modify the stock exhaust to fit the header, not sure if it would work with stock header.

I have all of the stock components (cylinder head, cylinder, piston, new base/head gasket, stock cam, stock air box, stock intake etc) As well as a new base/head gasket for the kitaco bbk which would help with resale of it there.

I could MAYBE get a few hundred to 1k more in resale if I went back to stock in total after selling the aftermarket parts... MAYBE, but would it be worth my time? Have any of you ever gone through something like this? The bike runs perfect as is and I hate to crack it open after its been flawless for so long.

Only you can answer this, because you decide the value of your time. My suggestion would be to determine how many hours it would take to return it to stock, determine how much an hour of your free time is worth, and then math that out against the additional funds the sale would bring.

To find the value per hour of your free time I would suggest not going any lower than your current overtime pay rate. You have already agreed with your employer that if they want your free time then that is the cost, so it's worth at least that much. I pay people to do stuff that I can't do, or that I don't want to do that is not worth my OT pay for the time the job would take. It also helps me gauge how angry to get about people/companies wasting my time. How much are they costing me?
