@lit_taco4x4 has a basikbiker modified tundra rack

 

Shouldn't he still be able to run an OEM rack for the week? I'm not very familiar with the Tundra rack swap so forgive my ignorance.

 

His frame was modified to fit the rack, the eccentrics was something that happened after his install.

 

Ahh bummer. Well I've got an extra seat if he wants it.

Last minute thrash
Airing out the tent and washing the bedding
Packing the boxes
Drain and fill on the rear diff (just passed the break in period)
Maintenance odds and ends
Getting the cameras and radios charged

 

Weather forecast changed... this will be interesting.

 

Got the steering rack bellows situation sorted out (for now).

Drained and filled the rear diff. (Just passed break in period)

Got the new parking brake situation figured out. Still don't like it, but it stops the truck.

Packed most of the tools and spares.

Adjusted the shocks. Hadn't done that on the rears. They were each set way differently. Now they are the same, and at a good staring point for fine tuning.

Got the remaining wiring sorted, and put the bed platform back together.

Installed the diff skid so I can test it out.



My new auxiliary battery should be at the house, when I get home... which is good. Otherwise we wouldn't have had a fridge... no Bueno.

 

Im going to put a new Aux battery in the truck today. It looks like I'll be using my electric blanket again this year.

 

Ready to go. Any restrictions on the route to the camp? Trails only/freeride?

Pulled in around 3 pm

Head to @85Yota house and got barrels stickered up and a few got hitch mounts we used old radio shack

Got back somehow in one piece with no missing barrels... had a ratchet strap let go on the mouse right as I was hitting the 18 haha had to readjust the straps.
Hung out around the Howl with @Gearmonkey23 and @Giant Geoff

they don't open until feb 1st so basically we just did a rip for nothing with a barrel on the the back. .
came back to watch the class 11s
met up with @5SeaterTrailBeater and a few other rad peeps that were on the Cinders Trip!


Headed back to camp
Met up with Ward ( another dude we met in Cinders)

@sdecurti and I headed out for a test session with HOWL campfire on the back of the mouse with the full propane tank..
Can confirm it's offroad-able

@Lutz pulled up about time Wally made some bronco friends that needed a hand chasing some threads on a wheel spacer. so we cruised over there for a bit to lend a hand and get them going


headed back to camp made dinner hung out around fire for a bit @YotaTyler418 and @braden.mccafferty rolled in and hung out for a bit.
before we headed to the Chocolate Thunder we ripped a quick podcast with @Gearmonkey23.

Hitting the road tomorrow early in the am, truck is inspected and will get loaded with the stuff later on the day. Wake up, breakfast, coffee and head to hammers. Drive safe homies!
