    Stuff and junk and things...
I should be fine at a lower altitude, I don’t hit 80% until 5000/5200 RPM. I have a CAN gauge I can keep an eye on things.

I am in an emissions area so if I need more fuel I’ll have to go with an FMU or do a lot of work every 2 years to swap parts.

Ah fair enough, it's a bit of an unnecessary tuning PITA for a FMU but in your case it would save work so I get it.

That's too dang bad, air quality is probably a concern at your altitude though so I get it.

What mods do I need to do the SC with E85, my plan is to keep the power at stock SC levels for reliability, and I want the E85 so I can have high octane fuel without Premium gas as it's cheap and very available where I live. Will this make sense in the long run financially, probably not, do I still want to do it... Yes

Anywhere there's soft lines in the fuel system needs to be replaced with E85 compatible lines. that and of course an e85 compatible pump, but if you've already upgraded most are good to go.

An e85 tune with a haltech for stock power would be really easy. It's actually got a lot more octane than even premium so you could turn the timing up without turning the boost and make more power too for basically no added investment since you already have the haltech. The only thing you must do to run e85 is make sure you have an e85 compatible fuel pump and some larger fuel injectors since you need about 30% more e85 as it's less power dense than regular gasoline

I'm completely stock right now, no SC and stock ECU. I'm trying to plan out what I'd need. The main questions I have are what injectors/fuelpump would I need. I've also heard that you don't actually need to upgrade fuel lines for E85, is that true or not?

We only have one section of rubber line in the feed portion of the fuel system. I can't comment on whether or not it would last although it is designed for at least e10.... The return section is low pressure and you can replace the line super cheap so I would just do it, there a few sections of rubber line in that. I know you stated that you're not too worried about the price difference. But you do know that you have to burn more e85 then gasoline... Is the price of e85 more than 30% lower than regular gas

When the 30% is calculated with the E85 it's currently 8% more expensive than regular, and 10% cheaper than premium.

Still need to check out that Shell near my commute that allegedly has E85...

What am I looking in fuel hoses for E85? What material?

They'll just say that they're rated for alcohol fuels. PTFE is recommended but if you're not going to build AN lines then I think (you'll have to confirm) the fuel line will have an NBR liner or NBR in it. Gates barricade is avail in parts stores and I know it is good for ethanol

This is what is on my list so far, please let me know if I'm missing anything, or if I can get it elsewhere at a better price:

You can get that flex fuel sensor for a good bit cheaper https://www.rockauto.com/en/partsearch/?mfr=GM+GENUINE&parttype=10766
The $46 one just has an easily removable clip on it
    Ref: my build

And do it once, do it right with the Haltech 2500 imo

I just bought some NBR fuel hose but this says not great for ethanol so I'll have to find something else

I'm a tech guy who likes to tinker and control every aspect of the Tech I own. The Speeduino is much cheaper which is a big selling point (I can probably do it for under $200), but with a Speeduino I'll have full control over the hardware and software which is very alluring to me.

Sounds like we are similar haha, if you do decide to go Speeduino over Haltech have a talk with Chris Cashion or Isaac Dalton first to get a feel for it's limitations, they own SpeedyEFI (no affiliation) and just happen to live in my neighborhood. But they're big on the Facebook pages for their product and Speeduino as a whole. I went with Haltech after having first purchased a MegaSquirt gold box, but decided I needed something designed and built to a higher standard that wouldn't leave me doing component level testing with a pocket DVOM and oscilloscope in the middle of Death Valley or on a mtn top.

Their ECU looks awesome! I'll have to hit them up and see if they can help me. Thanks!

You'd probably appreciate the latent speed of the Haltech. Unlike a lot of companies, they seem much more open minded about sharing information as well.

The Speeduino seemed like too much hassle to me at the time, and they were out of stock on their kits. If you already know what you're doing though (I do now), I'd love to see ya do it
