What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Get an exhaust re-route eventually ... removes that stupid bump underneath. Just be sure the person doing the re-route puts the new pipe far enough behind the transfer case electronics. Here is the "after" for mine. Mine was $100, but local rates may vary.

 

Picked up and put on my new plates this week.

My dealer is completely out of new 2023 Tacomas... I bought one of the last ones they had according to my sales guy. Very glad I got what I got.

 

FYI catch can already has a 1/4 teaspoon's worth of oil in it after about 200 miles. Yes, I do drive that much during the week.

 

Jumped it off-road, broke it hahaha. My other Taco never cracked here even after 50+ jumps. Oh well.

 

Core support? Apparently that can happen with 35s since they hit inside the wheel well.

JD fab has complete inner fenders that "fix" this issue.

 

Raptor lights done today. Only took about 30 mins. Just wish they where on all the time.

 

Right now I just have the wire ran to the cigarette plug in but the wire is ran pretty clean. I unplug it when not in use even though it has a switch. I just set it in that useless wireless charging pad when not in use. I'm sure you could hard wire it but then it would need a switch so it isn't constantly running when you don't need it.

 

Should I buy the black exhaust tip?

 

No. Cutting it off is cheaper.

If you did an add-a-fuse you can change the fuse to the inj one and they’ll be on anytime your truck is on. I prefer mine just when the headlights are on though.

 

Mine got chopped behind the axle, so I’ve got a black stainless trd exhaust tip on display.

 

Considering this is TW, once you decided you liked the black tip on your exhaust the only logical way to resolve this is to buy and install the entire TRD catback system.

You can port it to the DRL fuse and have them on at all times.

 

It's a nice touch. I paid about $45.
