I feel your pain, brother. I fully understand the fight. Drop me a line if you ever need to talk with someone that understands.

Good afternoon gang! I had a VA app't for 1pm, only for it to get cancelled this morning. I decided that it wasn't worth going in to work so I've been running a few errands. It hit 70° this afternoon! It will go away quickly, the rain starts tomorrow along with a new cold front. The "S" word is in the forecast for the end of next week.

MTgirl reminded me about the UV light therapy a few winters ago, I get the SAD pretty badly after living in the PNW for a while. Now I try to get in a few laps around the parking lot at work every day, along with a walk around the 'hood and some sort of physical labor. I also take a high dosage of Vit D3 gummies. (2) 2500ui chewies every morning along with a Vit C pill. My mind struggles to reach the winter solstice every year, then something inside of the brain starts to relax a tiny bit knowing the I've made it past the hump towards more sunlight.

After a total shit-show week at work, it’s time to drive the Tacoma 3 hours north to our cabin to turn a 50’ pine into a bonfire.

    I can’t wait.

Yes! We go sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River. One year I took some friends and one of our guys hooked into a monster. He wrestled with it for a while until the guide went to cut his line. An argument ensued and my friend (a rookie) told him to back off because he was going to reel it in and get it into the boat…the guide laughed, said a few curse words and said it’s your money good luck. 15 minutes later the fish surfaced (think humpback whale here) from the pectoral fins to the tip of his snout was 7’ and he was over 2’ wide in girth. My friend’s jaw hit the bottom of the boat as he pulled out his knife and cut the line himself. Rest of the trip was perfect because he never said another word.
    It looked like this…

No I know you're just asking and you're cool. I built the aluminum one on the taco and loved it. Check the build out on here.
The Taco was smaller and just did not have the pulling power this Ford does.
Finished up the headboard LOL but did not get the wiring done. Another day.
Thanks Martin. Build thread is below

i'm usually good until after the holidays - at least in december there's stuff ot look forward to with birthday and christmas (shut up Mike) but after new years its just boring winter trapped at home and i'm counting down the days until i can camp again.
i did get out for a drive today. felt good to just get some sun on my face (even through the windshield) and take a few backroads around the valleys. didnt see much wildlife but the mountains were a pretty sight with the sun on the snowy peaks.
i haven't seen a live one but i've seen a couple mounted. catch and release only out here - we have them in the very tippy top NW corner of the state.

you ate the lactoses didn't you?

just like the food pyramid, that 10k steps is just some made up shit with no scientific base.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to stay mobile ! And it’s an attainable daily goal. But there’s no science behind it vs 5k or 12k or anything.

    Good evening everybody :hattip:

Weather guessers have been saying it’s going to rain and flood for the past 3 days. We may have gotten an inch total. They are preaching the doom and gloom for the overnight and into tomorrow, 2-3”. I’m over it already, I put my kayak back in the barn this afternoon.

    Howdy howdy.
Walked out of our Omaha condo for the last time at 21:15 last night. Kinda bittersweet.
On the road headed west at 10:00.
Made it to Pueblo for the night.
    Stay warm. Stay safe.

As a guy who always gets plenty of foot action...

Was surprised last month when the new study came out that proves 10k steps has no more benefit than 6k steps!

    Link is here somewhere.

Good evening gang. I went out and met up with a few friends to listen to a band that was doing a bunch of the 70's music. It's ok,I just don't know all of the names of the bands that did the original songs. The band did mix it up a bit with some funk, I got out there and did the white boy shuffle!

:thumbsup: for Pueblo! I'm guessing that you're taking 50 West through Gunnison and Montrose? The Pioneer museum in Gunnision is cool, although it's a seasonal thing. ( closed until May usually)

I haven't noticed any posts from Dwayne in a while I hope that all is well.

So walking is not good for you? Not sure what this means.
I'll phrase this differently as not to sound like a preppy 30 year old.
I'm walking about 5 or 6 miles a day depending on how my idiot customers are acting.
I think that's pretty good for a 67yo. Could just lay around eat chips and dip.
