Lamar has endured the bad taste of defeat.

That first half was shaky--he was holding onto the ball WAY too long...but halftime adjustments and viola, a better result.

Ravens "D" is formidable...and KC has a comparable Defensive stance.

It's really going to boil down to job assignments...how well does each player perform in their roles.

    That and of course...Special Teams.

I'm gonna have a tough time picking a winner in that game.

As for the NFC...going with SF.

Yeah, Joe was pretty awful in that game and threw 3 picks to go along with 3 fumbles before Dwight made the Catch. Defense kept it close in spite of them and allowed the Drive to mean something. This was a crunch time moment for Brock.

I was talking about the SB XXIII against the Bengals & Taylor's catch...but that reference with Clark was reaching further back!

I liked Shannon Sharpe’s take Monday. Instead of looking at full game stats you need to look at the key moments. The great ones step up in key games when it’s on the line. Allen and Purdy had almost identical pass stats, and Allen was overall the more effective of the two because of his run game. But which one led his team down to a winning score in the final minutes?

Going back to a similar point in their careers. Joe already had the Cotton Bowl game on his come back resume but while mobile was also considered a relatively weak arm.

Can Harbaugh take the bolts to the promised land?! AFC west may contend with KC next year.

I think they will improve. They’ve been playing below their potential for years. Andy Reid, Jim Harbaugh, and Sean Peyton all coaching in the AFC West. Should be fun to watch!

Harbaugh took the niners to the super bowl but he didn’t build the team and it all went to shit pretty quickly under Trent Baalke. Without a competent GM the Chargers aren’t going anywhere.

The relationship with the front office will be key. The falling out with the 49ers came down to people (front office, overpaid babies, ownership, coaches) all pulling in different directions. This time he at least has a relationship with the ownership so that should help. But it'll be interesting to see where this goes because he won't have the same kind of control he can have in the NCAA.

He really is. And is surrounded by young talent too which means we all have to suffer through a few more years of Chiefs

Hopefully The Niners don't play as half assed as they did last week.

I hope the sense of urgency for SF is highly applied whether starting on Offense or Defense.

Detroit seems to be the one with nothing to lose...I mean that in the sense, they are the underdogs.

The pressure is on the Niners so hopefully, Purdy takes charge and calms down quickly from the first offensive snap.

I'm not counting the Lions out...at all--they didn't get to the Championship game by accident.

Goff is the experienced QB but Purdy did lead the Niners to a game-leading TD.

It's an exciting weekend...games should not disappoint!

Fun fact: Since the 1970 merger the 49ers and Lions are the top and bottom teams in playoff wins; SF-37, Det-3. Whereas the Ravens and Chiefs are tied with 17, right in the middle of the 32 teams.
