Yes, in my younger years. HAHA
But nah, seriously is there a chance I caused any damage staring the car and driving while at 1,200 - 1,500 RPMS ?

Don't even get out of bed... just start getting jacked. You're already in the perfect position to bench.

Oil changes are as necessary as food and water IMO.

    No. No damage

Your truck already runs at those rpm's when you cold start it. Watch your tach and you will see this.

Running at idle vs at load in the cold is not a fair comparison. Worse at load, very simple.

So then why do people suggest to wait 10-20 seconds while the tach drops down to around 800 rpms or so before you drive?
Sorry about the annoying questions. HAHA
    I appreciate all you guy's help/suggestions/input/etc.

    Good analogy...

In my case, about 30 seconds just to gain balance, then about 4.5 minutes just to empty the bladder, and that's on a good day,
then stumble into the kitchen and put on the water for some coffee, unless I drop the pot...

Less chance of you being surprised by not having enough brake pressure activated.

You are aware of this already. Either press harder on the brake when shifting to drive or let the engine speed drop off.

It's not going to hurt anything dropping it in drive, but it's just more controlled by taking your time.

Older v8 cars/trucks used to need the rpm to drop in the cold or you'd spin the rear tires in gear while holding the brake. You'd also want the choke to start opening before driving.
