It warmed up a lot here last night. It was 35 when I went to bed and 35 when I got up. It was -5 when I got to work yesterday and -13 the day before that with highs in the teens.

I think my truck idled for 20 minutes at least, while we worked on it. Finally we just started pouring warm'ish water on it.

Anyone aware of any touchless/brushless car washes in the Middleton/Caldwell/Nampa area?
I know of the one off Locust Grove and Fairview in Meridian.. my truck needs a bath, bad.

Right? Don't tempt me with near 50⁰ I'll be out there with my rinseless wash (neighbors probably think im insane).
I do like to drive it through a car wash at least once after winter though to help clean out the underside.. mag chloride scares me, lol.

I took the van through dirty Harry's car wash yesterday, scratchy brush be damned. Got all the slop off and sprayed the underside thoroughly. You could always try that, bring your own sponge, soak it in soapy water and rinse it off, be able to pressure wash the underside too. Just a thought.

Dirty Harry's always seem like decent locations.

I tried to go through the Jacksons in Eagle what i thought was touchless car wash on Wednesday. Paid the $10 and the doors rolled up and there's sloppy "brushes" hanging, it was like a nightmare, I noped out. Thankfully the jacksons clerk refunded me.

I think I've spent like $500 on detailing supplies the last 2 years from TRC; still don't own a sponge, I love the chenille mitts. Everyone raves about the sponges with rinseless.

Either way you could do a car wash and scrub it yourself. I like the DH ones because the water is heated and it helps get the gunk off better.

I definitely second the dirty hairy’s when got my CDL the guy who tested me is actually the owner and recognised my tow truck because it was one of the few places that could take the tow truck through and it was heated in the winter.

Problem with washing your dirty truck. You find people's dirty secrets.. actually I think it happened today...

Anyways, glad I was able to get out and get the grime off her. False Spring has been great.

Looking to regear my truck to 5.29's and I was wondering if anyone in this forum had some suggestions or recommendations for places to go? I am looking for someone in the Nampa, Boise area preferably.

I would avoid apex offroad, 4wd parts might be an option. I have a buddy @idaho_tacoma on instagram who used to do regears here in the valley. He might be the guy but I’d have to ask if he still does them.

I don’t have first hand experience but from all of my buddies that have gone to apex (formerly taco vinal) or those that worked for them they don’t have great things to say. The valley is definitely lacking a 4x4 orented shop there’s a few bucks, apex, talus but there isn’t a great place I feel.

You can buy a diff from ECGS with whatever gears you want if you wanted to diy some of it. Not a difficult task in my opinion.

I've been exploring that option too. Just not super thrilled about doing it in the gravel in this wonderful weather we've been having. lol

There's always the DIY garage in West Boise if you don't have a better option. At least for the sake of the weather we have going on.

Lift bay with all the tools is 50$ an hour
And lift bay with tools and help is 110$
if your somewhat mechanically inclined it’s a great deal for someone with gravel driveway or no space to work like an apartment. I’m stuck with both but I’ve got a shop at work and some buddies and me are now renting a shop just for vehicle shenanigans
