It would be pretty cool if they were able to connect into each other’s harness. I’ve been wanting the AnyTime locker ever since it came out!

I have the anytime locker harness now but want to do the job with everything all at once if it turns out the 2lo works.

Taking the dash apart isn’t difficult. It’s a 30 min job. I have the 2LM PnP harness and would buy the Anytime locker now if I knew they were compatible with each other

I have both, and yes, they do play well together as far as I have been able to tell. Someone else had an issue with one or the other not working but I think they fixed it by re-seating the connectors.

It is a very tight squeeze jamming it all back together and it does sketch me out having two aftermarket harnesses piggybacked on each other under a fair amount of strain. I want to think they would use known quantity/non-Amazon components and tools but since these are probably made to be as economic as possible, hard to say. I would definitely, and enthusiastically, pay more for something that’s a no ragrets variant that is top quality and 2LM/ATL in one, which is possible but unfortunately they’re two different products by two different people so probably unlikely to happen.

That’s awesome! Glad to know where are compatible with each other.

I’m curious to know how you have them plugged in. Does the Anytime plug into the 2LM PnP or is it the opposite way around? Or does this not matter?

@moon22 Thanks for the information. That's exactly what I was looking for. I'll buy the 2lo harness and provide my feedback after the install too. Appreciate this community! Thanks!

I read through about half of the thread and was not able find out who makes the illumination harness to allow the 2Lo switch to come on with the lights/dim with the instrument panel. Can anyone point me in the right direction, and if you've used it in conjunction with the 2Lo mod, how did it go? Thank you everyone. This board is great, and the 2Lo mod looks awesome.

I just skimmed it and don’t see anything for switch illumination specifically.

This is @kmorgan3 ’s design available from @GuildOutfitters. NOTE that’s a cargo T meant for the driver side cubby rather than the lower switch panel (which is where I have my switch) or the overhead console (a few have done theirs up high, I kind of prefer it closer to the 4x4 switch. It’s possible to get switch illumination off the ECT switch for AT trucks but this mod is particularly popular with we MT and that means no ECT.

Thank you! I'm going to put my switch below the HVAC as well, so I guess I'll skip the illumination harness. Ordered my 2Lo today. :)

@daveeasa Thanks for the link. That's a great price on the combo harnesses. I recently bought only the daisy chain harnesses off Cali Raise for the $15.99 and it didn't include the cargo light harness.

I don't remember having to buy a separate harness to illuminate my air on board 2Lo switch. Hmm. It's also been a number of years.

Not to illuminate the switch, but to make the illumination of the switch work in conjunction with the rest of the dash lights. Letters not on full time, dimmable with the rest of the lights/switches, etc.

You are formally ejected from the OCD club my friend. :)

To anyone else, the switch works fine without extra harness stuff, just will be “illuminated” with ignition rather than only with parking lights and won’t “dim” with the PWM dimmer, not that anyone things that’s a big deal.

Now after I'm done in the office I'm going to have to go out in the rain and start playing with my lights to see what my switch actually looks like. Lol

I think it's a big deal. :D That CH4X4 switch I put in definitely looks aftermarket, but combined with the bright ass, mismatched LED, it bugs the living hell out of me. I picked up a handful of OEM switches from various models and am going to see if I can piece something together that looks factory (because...well, it will be!).

I don't think order of installation matters, but, I did put the 2LM in first, then ATL plugged in to 2LM.

I've tried every functional combination of the two I can think of. I also skipped the wire tap that turns off TC when you switch on ATL, and not had any errors (outside of the time I forgot to flip the 2LM switch when taking it out of low range, but this is a known thing, I just didn't have my thinker firing on all cylinders at the moment).

so i have a manual transmission TRD OR and accidentally purchased the larger style switch meant to install on the driver left side panel--instead of the smaller type switch that would fit neatly where I have a blank available in the center console.

i wrote CH4x4 to try to get an exchange but can't get them to respond, and regardless shipping costs would be the price of just buying a whole new switch.

instead, does anyone have any ideas for how to install a 4th switch on the left side for manuals? its full up right now with the bed light, clutch start/cancel and the button to turn on the bed outlet...
