Anyone have issues with adjusting the icon coilovers?? I tried the spanner wrench and it broke off and messed up the hole. All that force and it didn’t adjust my coilovers for the taco lean, truck was jacked up and tried to add WD-40 and nothing.
I also did remove the screw in the middle of the coilover
Kind of annoyed spent 5k on an icon suspension and can’t even adjust the coilovers, not to mention I pissed away 35 bucks with the spanner wrench.

So you tryed spraying lubricant on the threads. Can you remove the pressure on the spring? Borrow or rent a spring compressor.

Maybe try another way. I installed a 1/4” spacer on the driver side.

You can see an Allen head set screw still in the left hand hole. Nice pic btw.

Saw that but for all that the surface of the screw hole looks beat to snot it doesn’t look like the screw was ever removed.

Yea, you have to get the pressure off the spring. You can cause bigger problems this way too. Take it off and compress the spring and it will turn nicely. Just like the King pic above.

I was able to adjust my Kings without removing them the first time I tried, but the second time it didn't go well; albeit my holes are intact. I aborted when the force I was applying seemed excessive based on my experience. The collar is aluminum (I think) so it's not going to win against a steel tool. I don't know if I loosened the lock screw too much causing it to skip a thread or if the visible white corrosion/crud on the threads was the issue. I might in the future take them to a shop to take them off and adjust them and then do an alignment. For now, adjusting them isn't worth the time and money. The 3" of down travel I have currently it about the minimum I have heard recommended and I don't know if reducing it to 2" to get 1" of lift would be to my liking.
