No. They needed to showcase something for PROsers.

I have been in trophy trucks, and in Pro Tundras and Raptors. After being in a TT, find the street version watered down and boring, and don’t see the point of them other than to look cool. But that is just me. As they say race on Sunday sell on Monday, that is what halo vehicles are all about, hype. Not trying to be a fun hater, but maybe my idea of fun is different. Racing stop light to stop isn’t, nor is trying to go fast in a mid travel truck in the desert. Kinda boring, if you don’t have a full tilt boogie mobile.

I want the Pro because it is less flashy than the OR. Doesn't have the bold "look at me TRD" on the fenders, extra "TACOMA" badges on the sides, or racy polished silver wheel trim. But that's just me.

The nonfunctional hood scoop, two tone roof, wider track done with wheel off-set, and high gloss fenders makes up for it though. :)

I can't wait to see and hopefully sit in the iso seat. What color are you getting?

Sticker and badge can be taken off.

The Pro has a pretty big permanent badge in the tailgate.

Prerunners are just that, they prerun the race course. If anything they should make the Pro 2WD.

What is up with that name anyways, what is “Pro” about it? Even the name screams wannabe.

The Prerunner name plate is lame too, nothing special about the suspension on it.

Just silly names to sell trucks.

Less flashy. LOL. The entire purpose of the pro is to be flashy.

Technically, all Tacomas other than the Pro have more "badges" so they are more flashy.

But what if I'm lazy and don't want to take stickers and badges off? And won't that void the warranty? :)

TRD OR tailgate is more flashy.

Don’t think it is possible not to be flashy with any of the trims, even the lowly SR, they went so overboard with the design this time. Guess one good thing about is, it made the 3rd Gen look toned down in comparison, never did like the front end, and still don’t.

Have you actually seen a Pro in real life? They are all about flash. That’s why people buy them. To stand out from the crowd.

Wouldn't buying a full-size truck make you "stand" out more?

Think the F-150 and the Ram 1500 is the most toned down of the bunch. Ford even toned down the grill from previous years.

Tacoma looks like it is trying too hard to be tough. It is all swoll…like it went away and got all jacked on steroids.

The late 80s early 90s are probably my favorite gen as for styling, sweet and simple. It was Toyota’s heyday.

It was just for looks comparisons. Don’t care for the Raptor or TRX either, too machismo. Even the base SR is a bit garish to me. My favorite truck on the road right now is the Rivian, very plain, but would smoke any of those halo trucks. Real sleeper, but I like that. I also like Volvos, was looking V90s. Thinking about picking one up as my commuter. Lean more to a sleek aesthetic.

The rivian is far from plain  you think you won't be seen as attention seeker driving one of those? It literally gains ground clearance with the push of a button . And it has so many tech features. When ever I see one I stare at it and think damn I wish I could afford that lol

Body styling wise it is very plain compared to the others. Name brand it is not, because you know when you see one, it is quite expensive. Like a Volvo, subdued styling but it is a luxury vehicle. Nice thing about Volvos, resale is shit. Can get them on the used market for a reasonable price.
