ugh, yeah that's a B. I hemmed n haw'd for weeks before install, and went with Stage 3, since I have a lot of weight (that doesn't get removed, topper and Decked). My theory; I'd rather have a rough ride and no sag, since I could live with that, versus the opposite.

Yeah I have a bed cap plus a shelf with tools and straps and things that weights a good amount. It was ok until I fill the bed with stuff then it started to sag and annoyed me. I like the rear a little higher than the front too so I had to make the change. I forgot to measure the before and after height but it will probably settle again after some driving.

What have you guys done to stop creaking with this leaf pack? It went from quiet to extremely loud over the weekend. I’ll be washing it well today and wonder what type of lube or spray might help.

Haha good eye!!! I did that when I was cutting off the cable mount. Previously I had them welded to my All Pro leaf pack

Wash it good, let it dry then soak it in fluid film. I haven’t heard a peep out of mine over the past 8 months

I’m dealing with the squeaking/creaking bushings as well. And for clarity’s sake, it is coming from the bushings not the individual leafs.
I’m in the PNW every time we get a good downpour (which is every other week), the noise comes back.
I’ve been using spray on white lithium grease, silicone spray, dry lube. Have not tried Fluid Film yet. I don’t think anything will last.
Seriously contemplating install the Dobinsons greaseable shackle bolts…
not looking forward to ripping it all apart.

I took my truck to Krown for the first time, and it hasn't squeaked since. Just more incentive to get that yearly application before winter :D

why don’t you guys get airbags and cradles? Makes things so easy and you still get like 95% of your articulation. Total cost is like $350-$400. I run the leaf pack on option 1 with Firestone bags and get buttery smooth response loaded or unloaded. Max weight I’ve had was about 1000lbs. @Saltlife027

also, for everyone saying they get squeaky noises. I alleviated this by getting Dobinson greasable bolts for the shackle to leaf connection, and a little spray grease goes a long way between leafs ends (use a small tube, not open spray). I live out by the desert where it’s dusty and dirty…still zero squeaks

this was my exact plan. Are you spraying the bushing area with fluid film or just the leafs themselves?

curious if it was always the bushings that were causing your noise? Have you left the leaf pack itself alone?

Spray everything. The entire underside of my truck is sprayed with Krown and Fluid Film. Don’t want anything to squeak or rust

I’m on the west coast as well. I’m near Vancouver, Canada. Give fluid film a try. Spray everything. Bushings, leafs, shackles and frame. I also have the Dobinson greaseable bolts and they’ve been great. Silent ride makes for an enjoyable ride

I sprayed before reading this and didn’t do the bushings because of the warning about using on certain rubber. Leaf pack is currently silent again, but I’ll go ham with the spray if they get creaky!

So I have some new rxt’s in the garage not installed yet, what’s everyone’s recommendations to preemptively fight the squeak? Leaf liners? Doorman round isolator things? Or just use the provided icon isolators and hope for the best?

Flex em out so they open up a bit, spray them with a pressure washer, let em dry then I use spray silicone spray between each of the leafs. I know people use fluid film with positive results but I always have a little silicone spray on hand. I usually also re spray them after a good wheelin/wash. haven't ever had a squeak out of them since I installed them.

Me when my air bags clack against the cradles over bumps and people look at me like I'm shooting at them

But then I forget about it when I am able to load a bunch of weight for trips and hauling, and not suffer the rough daily ride when not loaded

I don't have a rough ride at all,,, I was saying I would rather deal with a rough ride (temporarily) than with a sag, were I to choose the wrong option, and need to get the truck back in for rework.
Airbags have their place, as supplemental support for those heavy hauls, but I don't like them to prop up weight all the time,,, think Lincolns riding around the rear bumper dragging, because there's a failure and owner can't afford to fix it.
