I have a 07 Tacoma DC and just purchased a tailgate handle with the camera, but no harness. If I did purchased a harness for the camera, does it run all the way to the dash? Looking at pictures, it seems pretty short and not sure how to run that to my pioneer deck. I am under the impression that the 07 do not have that cable pre-ran. Instead, I was planning on soldering a 4 wire cable to the camera and run everything myself since I do some 2M work, but not sure what to do after I get the cable into the cabin. I also need to know, since nothing is labeled, what pins are used for what on the camera.

I don't believe that you have the camera harness in your truck. My information says that they didn't put them into the 2007 models.

Someone else on this forum has already done what you want to do and posted a thread on it. Try searching to find it.

The harness for inside the tailgate, from the camera to under the tailgate, is part number 82182-4010 or 82182-04011. I don't know the difference between those parts.

It looks to me like the wires from beneath the tailgate to under the dash are part of the main harness, not a separate harness.

If you build your own harness, use shielded cable for both the video and the power. That's what Toyota does.

Assuming that you have the factory camera, 86790-04010, 3 sides of the connector have a single rib on them, and one side has two. Turn the camera so that the side with two ribs is on top and you are looking into the connector on the camera.

    Left top is video.
    Right top is video ground.
Left bottom is + 6 Volts DC power input
Right bottom is 6 Volt ground

Those pins are pretty hard to get to for soldering. The Toyota part number for the plug body that connects to them is 90980-12495. The plug body does not include the terminals and I don't know their part number at this time.

I did the install connecting a RCA with the wires.... you will need to connect MALE RCA into the pioneer deck. I used regular 12volts power and been working perfectly by 4 months already.
