No need for an EV in that case.

    Another Toyota/Porsche comparison!
What does an extra 116K get you on the 911? Scoops and a "Turbo S" badge.
Toyota is just following the Porsche marketing model.

    lol!

Panamera makes more sense for the “family man”. It is the car that says, “my wife let me get a Porsche, but also needs to haul the kiddies to soccer practice.” She only got one of his balls…

Why not buy a Sequioa instead of a 4dr Porsche? Porsches are supposed to be sports cars.

It's not about Porsches vs Toyotas. It's about paying more for scoops and badges.

Or we don’t pay attention to Porsches, the Turbo S has a bit more power, is it AWD too? Dunno, not much of sports car person, find them useless other than getting speeding tickets. So I don’t pay too much attention to them, always had trucks.

Porsche’s trim levels are a bit of a labyrinth to navigate.

Turbo S has more horsepower than God and AWD. They also have an incremental price tier with every 10-20 grand adding more hp.

What I assumed, just glanced at their website. So the price increase are more substance than simply scoops and badging? The scoops are actually functional, yes? Unlike the scoop on a Tacoma.

    So Snake-eyes point was???

    911 Carrerra 379 HP/ 0-60 4 seconds/ 182 MPH

    911 Turbo S 640 HP/0-60 2.6 seconds/ 205 MPH

I would say your getting a bit more than Scoops and a Turbo S badge for your money.

If you took your wife to the Porsche dealer and you asked her the difference between the base model 911 and the Turbo S, she would say that one has scoops and a Turbo badge and the other doesn't. My wife would say the same thing if I showed her a Pro at a Toyota dealer.

    Maybe your wife, not mine!

She would ask why does that Tacoma have hood scoop?

Would tell her it is there for looks.

Then she would say: It doesn’t perform any function???

    Me: Nope…

Her: Well, that is fucking dumb!
