I don't hate that color, I could do without the piano black fender flares no matter what trim its on though.

 

Why would they go through the trouble of painting them gloss black if they weren’t going to be gloss black?

If the tooling (molds) for the production flares wasn’t ready yet.

 

What do you think it is supposed to be? If it’s going to be matte black then wouldn’t they just paint them matte black?

 

Except all their marketing material, videos, etc. they are clearly gloss black.

Well, if the fender flares really are gloss black, they’re going to look like ass the day you take delivery and they’re going to look like a bag of ass 36 months later after they’re all scratched up.

 

27 year old gloss black flares. (They were painted and clear coated, not just gloss plastic)

This is why I would hope it isn't just shiny plastic, but painted on the 4th gen as they won't pinstripe from breathing on them.

 

The color matched fender flares was one of the things I liked about my '21 Sport. And of course the scoop, I'll admit I had to have the scoop because I thought it looked cool.

If I were to get a '24 it would also have to have the scoop for the same reason. Flame away you non-scoop having heathens.

 

That’s exactly why a lot of us don’t like them.

 

Why would they look bad on delivery? Do body colored flares other than black not scratch? Do matte flares not scratch?

 

Matte doesn’t get pinstripes as easy.

The 4Gs especially the Pros are too wide, look super cheesy to me, similar to bolt on Bushwackers.

Tundras look better to me.

 

What are you talking about, those flares are super slim. Not like these full-size flares:

 

Paint those kiddie pool pieces gloss black and it will look like a Trd pro.

 

The enormous hard plastic badges on the seats probably won't feel particularly good on the neck.
