    I think some of it is rigged - or more to say sometimes there is a finger on the table..

    But from all of my playing sports, I think most* athletes are programmed to do everything they can to win.
    You can't just tell them to lose on purpose/do poorly on purpose - it doesn't work like that.
    Are there a handful that have their own fucked up shit problems that require them to do fucked up shit - yeah - but the majority just want to play well and win.

    I don't think the problem is as systemic as y'all do.

    I do think the sports gambling thing has made it worse - but telling a D1/Pro athlete to loose isn't gonna fly for most of em.
    It just isn't how they are mentally programmed.
