2017 SR 4x4

 

My 2.5 week old SR. Already have 1200 miles on it.


Pic in it's (unfortunate) natural habitat. 19-20mpg on my 60 mile commute is very nice. Also peek my coworker's GTI in the background.


Big plans for this one. Really wanted one with no add-ons, however this one with the V6 4x4 TSS package is all that was left at the dealers around me.

 

The bronze/gold badge and wheel combo looks great!

 

My SR really needs some TLC ..... It's filthy inside and out .... I have zero motivation to clean the thing and I'm coming up on 60k which means diff/xfer case/trans fluids among other things... I'll probably wind up waiting until spring to jump on those jobs... I'm not looking forward to crawling under there this winter for anything more than an oil change.

 

It’s always cool to have all four door open at once when vacuuming it out imo. You can also use a leaf blower if you remove everything that can fly away.

 

Thats my weapon of choice on my access cab 20v blower open all the doors and go from one side out and the swap gets it more than clean enough for my standards

 

Good at removing snow too, and drying off the grill and mirrors and “hard to dry off places“ after a wash.

 

Removed all badging and the predator steps. The bronze TSS badge was neat but I did not want to be stuck with bronze for the theme. I love the basic/clean look of the SR.

 

With the torrential rains we've been receiving in the Carolinas, waterfalls in the area are absolutely surging. While on my way to do some hiking, I stopped for a few quick shots at Bridal Veil Falls in Highlands, North Carolina. Be sure to check it out if you're in the area, but be warned, parking is very limited certain times of the year.

Lots of factors. 4x4? 4x2? Mileage? Your area factors in as well. I was looking to trade my 2020 SR 4x4 4cyl with convenience package 60,000 miles back in September . My trade in here in South Jersey was only getting $19000-$22000. I only paid $27,500, but a new 23 in the same package/trim was $34k.... It just wasn't worth it. I'll keep what I have. Dealerships haven't hounded me either so I guess they aren't having a hard time with inventory.

 

Look on Carvana and subtract 3 or 4 grand or get an offer from them.

 

Not great advice as Carvana low balls. Just recently sold a car where Carvana offered 15.5k and I ended up selling it private party for 19k.
