Leer 122 dimensions for long bed

Hi All,

New to the forum and was wondering if anyone can help me out. For some context, I bought a 97 Mazda b2300 a couple years ago and it came with a Leer 122 camper shell. Previous owner told me he thinks it was actually from a 1st gen Tacoma (was clear it wasn't for the Mazda as it scraped against the cab and also made creaking noises when driven) but he wasn't 100% sure. I took it off as soon as I got home and stored it in case I might want to use it again. Well, I don't plan to use it and have been trying to figure out if it is indeed for a Tacoma. A couple months ago I tried reaching out to Leer with the serial number but never was ever to get ahold of them for an answer. Does anyone have this shell and could they measure the dimensions? I wasn't able to find the specifications from Leer either so I'm playing a guessing game at this point. My measurements came out to approximately 150cm x 190cm (59in x 74.9in). Thanks in advance!

 

Somebody had posted detailed dimensions of the bed at one time but I can’t find it. I’ve measured my 1st gen extra cab bed at 76” x 59”. Is that shell for sale? Your location?

 

Hmm, maybe I'll remeasure the length. Seems like it could fit a gen 1. And I am looking to sell, but it looks like you're in Georgia? I'm in California.

 

Yeah, I’m in Georgia and always on the lookout for shell. They’re out there but less and less so as these trucks are so much older. The one you’ve got may in fact fit a 1st gen, either way you should be able to find someone that can use it. Good luck.
